Actual thing?

Also, I looked into it and my machine is still running DDR2 RAM.
Yikes.

There was only one real package I was hoping would go on flash sale during the Steam Sale. As per the usual rules of the sale, you wait until the last day. Unfortunately, the last day of the steam sale coincided with a shitty day of my own, and I completely forgot to buy it.

If it was the recettear discount, I was saddened that it didn't come up.

Whoa hey, thanks for the heads-up, I was waiting for that.

Hmm... Do I...? Gah. I'm mildly annoyed that I'm only missing one piece of DLC now but I'm still not convinced to pay 1.24$ for Sunset Invasion.

It's not even a question of price. My dudes have enough history-based hardship on their hands already, they don't need need fictional Aztecs to come wreck their shit. (Not that they wouldn't return the favor several centuries later of course...)

Well now that that's over, who's in for a 4-pack of Rise of the Triad?

In.

Anybody else?  Bueller?

Fuggit, I went ahead and grabbed the thing.  Anyone who decides they want a copy can Paypal $11.25 right into my pants.

Meanwhile, the Deep Silver bundle is probably going to make me feel even sillier for buying Dead Island.

Capcom Weekend.

Should I just go ahead and spend the $2.50 on Bionic Commando?

What about $15 on Dead Rising 2?  (Keeping in mind that I still haven't finished the first one.  Not that I'm worried about missing important story elements or anything, just is the second one different enough to justify playing it when I've still got the first one to look forward to?)

Oh yeah, definitely. Do it. It's incredible. Heck, you mentioning it just now makes me want to replay it. It might be my Deus Ex.

EDIT: Oh wait, I'm talking about Rearmed, I didn't notice the newer one is also 2.50. I only saw that one LP'd and it looked average at best.

No, that's good!  I couldn't remember which one was the good one and the page inexplicably lists them both under the same release date.  (I guess that's Steam release date, not PC release date?)

They're both good, honestly.  Rearmed is a great enhanced remake, and Bionic Commando is a lot of fun.  Blow the $5, get both.

Yup. The games took a while to make it on Steam for some reason. I got Rearmed near release and had to resort to gamersgate.com at the time.

I said back then that as a remake, it deserved possibly the highest praise, in that it made the original obsolete. I still believe it.

"Dark Void Zero", a game which came out 2 years ago, is an NES-style retro thing, and is single-player, requires online activation seperate from steam and has securom

One step forward, two steps Capcom

Arkham Asylum GOTY $5, Arkham City GOTY $7.50.  GFWL and SecuROM have been removed.

If you've already got the vanilla version of the games, you automatically get upgraded to GOTY...and lose all your save data.  Yay?

This puts the Steam versions of the games at 1/3 and 1/2 of what you'd pay for them on Xbox and PS3 right now.  So I'm pretty sure I've just been rewarded for dragging my feet on deciding whether and when to replace my Xbox 360 copy.

So if you haven't played either of these for whatever reason, now's the time.  They really are pretty excellent.
