If Thad got pulled over for drunk driving we wouldn't see him again after 6 weeks.  And he might die.

Your mistake is in assuming that the cops anywhere ever only arrests people if they have a reason.

Three months of public defending is enough to see that's not true anywhere.

Yes but everywhere else in the country does not have a tent city for misdemeanors.

Captain Morgan's and Gatorade.

It's like mixing the cure for a hangover into a hangover.

It tastes like cough syrup.

Not the cherry-flavored kind.

"It tastes like Robitussin" is Brad's universal complaint for pretty much every drink he doesn't like.

There was this one time he ordered a beer and then said it tasted like Robitussin.  I said, "You say that about EVERYTHING."  But then I took a sip and it TOTALLY DID.

("Robitussin" looks fucking weird written out.  I had to double-check that I'd spelled it right because it just looks wrong.)

(Actually, I could USE some Robitussin about now.  I've had a nasty cough for like a month.  At first it was because I was sick, but it's just hanging on.  I think it's because of all the nasty crap in the air.)

I had that shit last year (when I lived in LA, natch).  You know what helps?

Captain Morgan's and Gatorade.

(On a slightly more serious but no less accurate note, get a big bag of zinc lozenges.)

My first experience with Jägerbombs tonight. They were not authentic, though, because we used Rockstar rather than Red Bull, but goddamn were they tasty.

Feel fine now, recap in the morning.

I love PBR.  I love beer.  I love everything.  I'm happy.

This is the first time I've felt like this in months.

I don't want to get into the details of my life right now but ASSAULT FROG hasn't felt good in a while.

I'd like to thank Beer for a wonderful evening.

I'd like to thank Baby Jesus for beer.

I am currently drunk enough to almost impair my typing.

That's pretty drunk.

I love PBR.  I love beer.  I love everything.  I'm happy.

I'd like to thank Baby Jesus for beer.

See it's like this, except my life hasn't actually been that shitty.  I just haven't gotten good and proper drunk since, like, I left Colorado.  Blame my utter and complete lack of social connections.

So why am I so plastered now?  It's a S-E-C-R-E-T :wuv:.

As proof that you can get used to pretty much anything, I think I'm actually starting to like Coors Light.

Somebody please help me.

Is this the drinking thread or the general happy times thread?  It's hard to keep these things straight sometimes.

Coconut rum and fresh pineapple juice.  The hell you gonna tell me that's a girly drink, that's a delicious drink.  Not everything I drink has to have a Laphroaigian note of self abasement.

I really must say that people who do mean or completely boneheaded things when drunk are people who would want to do those things anyway if there were no hard consequences for doing so. I attribute this to the fact that I am a pretty peaceful and benign person and the few times I`ve gotten REALLY hammered, I never did anything more regretable than clog up a toilet with poop and then make a big and vocal deal about unclogging it.

But that said, I very rarely get hammered because whenever I feel myself getting too drunk, I tend to stop drinking or at least slow down. I don`t really understand people who fail to have this mechanism or level of control and proceed to drink until they have to throwup. It`s always been a very avoidable eventuallity for me, but I guess not everyone is the same.

I've only gotten to that point a few times, because I was drinking some immensely tasty mixed drink that did not trigger the "this is alcohol, you should cut it out" bit of the brain.  Now that I've sworn of liquor entirely, that doesn't happen.  Beer is a much slower path to a much more enjoyable drunk.  And I fucking love the taste of beer.  I love everything about beer.  I want some beer.
