i figure that for all the text on it, some of it useful, the price of a book is totally justified

No, but I know a few goons in REAL LIFE. They're always mining ice in Eve Online and stuff.

I was briefly attracted to the idea of server transfering to join a WoW goon guild because the prospect of hundreds of people actually raiding makes it seem like I could actually raid pretty comfortably.

then i abandoned my pampered niche class spot in a competent guild that kinda liked me(???) the instant the most important content in the game dropped

i guess i'm retarded and sorry but don't really deserve to go back!

I am a Goon, though I only really visit occasionally to see if there are any good photoshop threads I can contribute to.  I made the last page of Photoshop phriday both times I contributed:
Here.
And here.
Also I check out their TF2 thread from time to time.

Fictional Reality is the only common name so that must be him.

I think he's on to something with that last one.  :wat:

Really I didn't bother including the name for the amusement of people asking what it was despite being given a good chance to guess what it was. :glee:

I joined a few weeks ago as "A good poster" (and I've been told that title is wrong once already).  I used the SA-Mart to get a pretty good deal on a couple of unlocked cell phones, so I consider the :10bux: a good investment.

I lurk pretty hardcore. I sometimes consider registering, but paying for a forum registration makes my eyebrow twitch.

Been one since 2002!  My boyfriend is one as well; we Let's Played Red Steel together, among other crazy frivolous exploits.

For a moment I thought this was a comic book discussion thread of a series I've been meaning to pick up.  And then I became disappointed.

I think the first time I heard about SA was when Lowtax happened to be on the douchebag side of the eFront debacle; ever since then, the idea of giving him 10 bucks has only inspired in me a sort of primal revulsion. Haven't given it much thought beyond that, to be honest.

we Let's Played Red Steel together

Dang, I watched that, but I didn't realize you were in it!

It's one of the few LPs that I've considered quitting halfway through... but it's completely the game's fault. I stuck around though, if only to give meaning to your pain. Heheh.

Glad you enjoyed it!  Let's hope the sequel is good enough for you to not have to fight that temptation.
