I know they did something similar for New York to London. I guess they have a different mode of transportation for each ocean.

A friends sent it to me direct after I mentioned the ancient core system software our company runs on (the same thing I posted about in the Your Job thread).

It's not something I am wholly unfamiliar with, but this is much more detailed than the vague stories I'd heard before.
