Get banned from EA's new forums, for complaining about SecuROM or being overly negative in describing your bugs or something?  Get banned from every EA game you own.

And they still have the audacity to claim you're buying their games.

Horrifying, but arguably the only way to ensure an even slightly pleasant community of players.

Not play? Buy another copy?
I guess they're banking on the ability of their player base to not be assholes.

Plead to developers publishers that DRM is not the way and that they harm numerous valid customers, robbing them of enjoyment of the product in question.  Support your points with valid documented research, facts, and interviews.  Begin a large movement to show that they are using the wrong solution to the perceived problem.  Solve the problem peacefully and lawfully.

(I am so getting extra credit when Professor Norondor grades this.  I studied all night on this exam question.)

Wait.  Wait, you didn't say my answer was right.

You just omitted saying it, right?  Right Professor Noro?

Extra credit implies credit in addition to base credit for correct or complete answers.  Partial credit implies lesser base credit given for incorrect or incomplete answers.  In this case he is giving you credit plus some.

He did not specify whether the base credit was full or partial, though.

Extra credit is getting Professor Norondor the pirated games before street release, DRM free.

Well, that or giving a thoughtful answer that sadly does not actually work because suits don't actually understand anything.

Unless they do IP checks.

Hmmm... I wonder if they do (for the purposes of correlation between the poster and any game user accounts I mean - most forums usually do IP checks for forum reg, to prevent neverending zombie gimmick accounts from particular trolls).

Of course, IP checks are easy enough to get around, it's just that that's like actual work or something. And the kind of people with those tools will simply be pirating the damn game and not giving a shit in the first place.
