particularly given the $0 price point the game is going for on the PC.

wait what

Quote from: Kohler
The writing is consistently sharp and occasionally laugh-out-loud funny -- fully appropriate for kids, but with great under-the-radar gags for grownups sprinkled throughout.

I'm going to make sure Squeenix takes note of this, because RoF was one of the few games where the translators were based in the US and had face-to-face contact with QA/Marketing/Etc.  Bonus points for the fact that the translator actually wanted and used input from QA and other departments.

I can't wait to hear what people say about *****'s writing, which was pretty much the opposite situation in every way.  If I can get conclusive proof that Open-Minded US Translators > Passive-Aggressive Japanese* Bastards, the world will be a better place.

* It's actually a white guy living in Japan, which might be a large part of why his head is so far up his ass.  Meanwhile, our US translators are actually Japanese.  It's a weird company.

. . .  well, when you consider that Sega didn't think it neccesary to even include a CD key to register a Guardian's Licence.

Hey, guys, guess what I just found out.

You can make a really decent looking Duke Togo using Mass Effect's character creation system.

No, but I figure he'd make for a pretty decent renegade infiltrator.

I'm not sure how possible it is to get 999999999 karma in a Normal Mode playthrough of Ninja Gaiden DS, but I do know that the online leaderboards for the game are filled mostly, if not entirely, with cheaters.  I can't say for certain that it's impossible to max out the score by playing the game really well, but it sure as fuck can't be done by level 5 (out of 13) in two hours and thirteen minutes of playtime, despite what "AkashA" would have me believe.

If by "shit out your heart" You mean "I have like, thirty vaginas", I agree. S.T.A.L.K.E.R was a great game, but I can only think of two parts that I would even call spooky.

Completed Jak 3. Few points were enough to make me quit playing for a few days, and that's always a bad thing in games. Also had a distinct 'same-y' feel a few times. Beyond that a fun romp.

Got a PSP, and Star Ocean 3.

That brings up games that I haven't beaten to:

Super Mario Galaxy
Sonic: Secret Rings
Digital Devil Saga
OoT: Master Quest
Okami
FFX-2
We <3 Katamari
Disgaea 2
Ico
Star Ocean 3
Final Fantasy XII
Metal Gear Solid 3:S
Crisis Core
And some DS games that mentioning would get me lynched.

Really? Once I got past wussyface whining about the prime directive I thought it was entertaining enough. Not great, and not good enough to compare to some Baldur's Gate II, but not outright terrible.

Kane & Lynch. On PC*.

Mouse Look? Yes, but the best setting is somewhere between 3 and 4, but damned if that can be selected. With precise aiming, has the A.I. been tweaked to compensate like Gears of War PC?

The police officers all gleefully run face first into your line of fire, and then try to compensate with their own ridiculous precision aiming.

In Gears of War you hit a key to reload, and another to take cover. Here it's all done on a whim, with auto-reloading entirely breaking burst fire tactics, and auto-covering working only a third of the time.

The less said about the plot & cast, the better.

The upside comes from the environments and mission objectives, which work hand in hand throughout. A sequence under a Japanese highway was so striking that I tossed out the gameplay for awhile, and just admired the artistry. Then my partner
shot an unarmed woman dead
, and it was back to business as usual.

t lyrai

Star Ocean 3 is a truly horrible game. Gameplay flaws aside (e.g. once you have Maria in your party, it might as well jump to the ending cinematic), it has literally the second-worst plot twist in the history of videogaming. The all-time worst is in Prey, when aliens invade heaven. Draw your own conclusions from this.

Oh yeah, games i'm playing. I've been grinding in PSU constantly, and i got a porygon in pokemon fire red. i guess that mostly covers it.
