Seconding. I love how this fllick stands on its own, apart from the show while also deeply, deeply intertwined with it.

Jesus how did we forget Eternal Sunshine for the Spotless Mind?

Also I guarantee you Envy is just going to end up renting Dragon Wars or DBZ: Evolution and we're all going to feel like a bunch of assholes.

Godzilla: Final Wars, but not streaming.  Get it on a disc so you can set it to Japanese audio.  The Japanese speech makes Don Frye look like a better actor.

I was about to say 'what, no roadhouse' then i remembered that's patrick swayze.

I have some wires crossed in my brain that overlay the two on each other. In my mind, Kurt Russel starred in Ghost and Dirty Dancing, and Patrick Swayze was Snake Plisskin.

If we're going to suggest truly terrible movies on the virtue of being hilarious because they're so bad, can I suggest any of the softcore porn you see on cinemax? The wife and I rented Sexual Matrix the other day and had a blast with it. "We need to up the positronic harmonics on the cybertron interface to improve the physical stimulation." oh, man. Good times.

For some reason, this thread makes me want to watch The Blue Max again.

The movie is genius. Every major character in it is a complete and utter asshole (Except maybe Col. Heidemann), but they're still so damned compelling.

The romance scenes make the movie drag a bit, but it probably has the most accurate WWI dogfighting you'll ever see in a studio movie. They actually did a lot of flying in real planes for the scenes.

There's dozens of movies I could recommend, starting with that list Joxam posted, but this one's just sticking in my head at at the moment.

Hey. Hey. HEY

I wasn't saying I had better taste. Just that these are both good movies and should be on the lists! That's all!

God damn I love those movies.

They're good movies if you like trash and absolutely can't wait for them to appear on comedy central. Considering they get aired like nine times a year, I don't think it's worth even a rental.

as if we needed more proof that shinra was a monster.

and when i'm sticking up for lottel, you know it's SERIOUS BUSINESS.

Anyway go fuck yourself Lottel if you think I was gonna put any more thought into suggestions than copy and pasting from my netflix instant watch queue.

Especially since instant watch means my recommendations actually get watched.

:deal:

p.s. like i said in shmo, World's Greatest Dad
