I just miss the real space rednecks. From SC1.

In spite of the fact that I never bought SC2, I watched all the cutscenes hoping for something even half as funny as "The destruction of the Amerigo", or hell, most of the old cutscenes for that matter.

No luck. Just incredibly grating "grade 7 creative writing class" stories.

So after watching the videos I linked on the previous page, I recommend also watching these MLG Columbus videos:

MLG Columbus 2011 ♦ StarCraft 2 - NANIWA vs MC

Follow up by going to the MLG website and watching:
Idra vs. MC - CLR9 (NOT the pool play video, though that one is good too)
then
Losira vs. MC - LB Finals
then
MMA vs. Losira - Finals - Blue Stream
As long as we're watching people humiliate themselves at MLG events, might as well throw this in there too.

Yes, that was in fact the setup for mocking Idra's GG in this MLG.

After the MMA game, the EG team coach actually said "Am I going to have to put a clause in your contract that you can't gg until you're fully dead?"

I need a way to get in touch with you people.  I'm always looking for people to craft stars with!

So I have been laddering 1v1 a lot and have discovered the following:

1v1 Gold League Ladder

Is your opponent doing an all-in or a semi all-in build?

<No> Yes he is

V
<Yes> Did you scout?

<No> You lose

<Yes> Have you seen this kind of cheese before?

<No> Good luck! Since you don't know what to do, you're probably going to lose.

<Yes> Don't fuck up your micro and then counter attack with a superior force and economy. You win!

The new ladder maps are uh, interesting.  Really emphasizing two-base play, unless the opponent is Terran, then enjoy getting your main sieged!  Some of the mains are very oblong and seem strong for drop/elevator play.

As a side note, MLG Anaheim is going on this weekend, and the GSL finals are playing out as I post this.

ROCKS ROCKS ROCKS

"...OH and the destructible rocks are actually a new thing. There are rocks that you can attack to CLOSE paths called collapsible rocks. This really confused me at first, I thought it was a bug, but it's a defensive measure you can choose to use."

Mass recall on Nexus in HOTS!!!!!

Burrow charge ability for Ultralisk.

Corrupters now have a channeled ability against building that gives one mineral a second and does 1dps.

Burrowed banelings can MOVE. Possibly an upgrade!

Carriers Are Gone!

No more Overseer.

Hydra speed increased.

New infestation pit unit like a lurker, but spawns two high-dps units every 15 seconds or so while burrowed.

Viper will permanently grant detection for energy. Lair tech. Grant detection is the cheapest spell.

Swarm lord spits out broodling-looking things that have 16 attack damage and .87 attack speed.

New Nexus Spell Picture Added!

Mothership Gone to!
