On the other hand, jungle fighting with the Bad Company 2 engine would be shit hot, also Vietnamese gibberish instead of Russian gibberish.

Metal Gear Solid: Rising Gameplay - (Reveal E3 2010) [HD]

I've never been a huge MGS fan. The controls/gameplay always felt awkward and stiff. This, however?

Ubisoft conference going now.  Cold open of Child of Eden, a Rez-like game for the Kinect by the creator of Rez.

They probably shouldn't have gotten a host whose job is to dryly mock everything he comes across.  He looks like he's stopped himself from openly making fun of the games a few times now.

Don't forget Trackmania 2.

I think that may be my favorite announcement of the whole show so far.

If you told me last night I'd be frothing at the mouth for not one but three Kinect games (dance central/ea active 2.0/child of eden), I'd have called you insane and punched you in the face.

Ubisoft has set a new standard for disappointment/awful ideas. It's going to be hard for anyone to top that.

I mean, lasertag, for fucks sake?

Yeah.  It's funny, when Marvel started doing its Dark Reign event with the DARK AVENGERS, my friends at work were all joking about how the 90s were making a comeback.  Then Ubisoft announces an at home laser tag.  Life goes in cycles.

There are Lambent berserkers that must be killed. Also, Horde mode, if it comes back, is going to be FUCKING CRAZY, because the lambent enemies mutate somewhat randomly, in lieu of being equipped with weapons, so sometimes they'll just start spewing fire at you, or spawning mini lambent critter-bombs, and that was just in like 90 seconds of demo. Fuck, I want it.

Well, the general 80's comeback has been in swing for a few years now. It figures that the 90's are due.

I'd be interested in the new 360 if it played Blu-Ray.  C'est la vie.
