Had a dream the rich house down the street was having a giant party I was invited too. Everyone was to get together and dance on the second floor where we were surrounded by glass as U2 played in the middle. All of a sudden people started screaming and a severed limb hit the glass wall behind me. I action hero jumped out through the window and rolled below and soon everyone was pouring out.
They were covered in blood. A few seconds later goblins started leaping from the hole I made. That was when I noticed some people were wearing hats they didn't have before. We clearly gained classes. Guys with WWII helmets were fighters. I kept checking my head to see what I was but no dice. Eventually after being stabbed by a goblin I noticed a warm feeling around my neck. I had a holy symbol. I was a cleric. I ran around healing people and kicked a few goblins in the face.
We were doing some damage now that I was healing the injured. A few fighters were even brave enough to try to go back upstairs to see where they came from. The smell of burning flesh told us all that they failed. All of a sudden, a terrifying dragon face appeared through the window and stared at me. Somehow it came to me it was afraid to clerics. So I called out the crowd of people without classes to for all the clerics to step forward and run to me. A few more clerics were created then and there and we all held out our holy symbols and yelled at the dragon to go away. It grimaced and...

I woke up and went to post about in on the boards. There I saw Guild posting with a new name full of gibberish and repeating over and over again how he's not a coder OR a poet and really they are the same thing if you think about it. I mean paragraphs of that idea with slightly different wording each time. A few other people started posting and it turned into a huge hateful agrument. Sharkey showed up and closed the forums down saying we should all kill ourselves.

Everyone then quit the internet forever and went into business together. We had the tallest skyscraper in New York and my suit was the spiffiest.

I had a dream my wife was cheating on me with a lawyer and I lost both my kids in the divorce. The whole dream took place in the court room.

It was very interesting!

I also learned I need to cut down on my Law and Order watching.

I woke up this morning and I had to pee. Like, really bad. We're talking bladder-bursting here. But no matter how much I peed, I still felt... full. I must have been going for like twenty minutes. What the fuck was I drinking last night?

Then I woke up and had to pee.

My brain tried to put me through a zombie apocalypse that night.

However, I ignored it because my brain gave me the flight ability.

I have medical insurance now, so my subconscious is serving up R2 Goes To The Hospital Theater, at least one showing nightly.

Can't be that much worse than R2 Gets Thrown Out Of The Hospital By Doctor Moneybags Theater.

The last time I had one of those I realized, "O FUCK. I'M SLEEPING!" and bolted up to the restroom just in time to have my control fail and spill just short of the john.
Not recent, but altogether more recent than I feel comfortable recounting.

Also dreamed that night:
That I had goddamned fleas or something. Literally sucking a man dry quantities.
Dunno what that means. Don't want to know what that means.

I had my first dream where I was back in college and had skipped out on my classes for well over half the term, including fear about graduation and how I could possibly make up the work.

I keep having dreams about old games being way more awesome than they were, or had really cool scenes or sequels that never existed. Like last night I dreamed about a version of Final Fantasy I that was much more complex and darker in tone, that had a really cool scene with a huge bas relief carved into the wall of a cave, depicting four ancient warriors of light in a sort of big-headed hieroglyphic style that basically looked like if the ancient Babylonians carved the original Japanese box art for FF4 into a huge slab of rock. Also it was still pixel art but it was like double the NES resolution so it looked more like a PC-98 game or something. Also in the dream I had a version of Zelda 2 that came in huge box and included a ton of extravagant feelies like an artbook and a board game(!?)

Also in a similar vein this morning I found the notes I had taken after I read that Godzilla creepypasta and had a dream inspired by it.

Quote
super tug - futuristic tugboat towing Derelict Ship
Derelict Ship - resembles whale carcass. contains different dimensions
area 1 - I can't remember this part...
area 2 - steel-floored warehouse with rectangular white windows
area 3 - sallow flesh world with floating platforms & evil fires. there are alien cadavers lying around & giant "Sabbat Witch" appears
area 4 - red haze? ghosts? purple lasers?
area 5 - darkness. red death is here. run away.

fuck, I can't remember how the areas tied together, most of the creatures or any of the game before the ship appears. useless :(

I can still visualise some of this stuff vaguely. As I recall, the "alien cadavers" were basically the space jockey from Alien, and the Sabbat Witch was some kind of giant hairy female demon/krampus thing. I can't quite remember what "red death" was, I think it was just a skull or a grim reaper or something like that. The Super Tug looked sort of like a cross between the Sub-C from StarTropics and a futuristic bulldozer.

The coolest thing though was definitely the "whale carcass" ship. It did have a "bridge section" shaped like a whale skull, but what it basically looked like was a cross between the Black Omen from Chrono Trigger and a pile of rotten shark cartilage (in other words, a globster). Each deck of the ship was a progressively creepier and more surreal pocket universe with no consistent internal logic. Most horrifying of all, parts of it seemed to be based on Friday's final EK2 level D:

I can't remember what the player character was, and I can't even really remember what kind of game it was, though I think it was a side-scrolling shooter. Sort of like a more satanic R-Type. I think there was also a bit before the globster ship appeared but that has all been lost to the sands of sleep.

Woke up with the phrase "relativistic kill vehicle" running through my mind.  Wish I could remember what I was dreaming about.

I HAD SUPER SPEED AND PILOTED A RED, TALKING T-REX MECHA. Then I snuck into a floating ship and it had an "evil" version of my friends and I! Except the evil me was actually unaware that she and her purple talking T-Rex were the bad guys. Soon, we teamed up to take on THE BIG BOSS.

Then my dog sneezed on my back and I woke up.
