You're not the only one, sadly.

I dreamed that someone gave me 2 negs, for reasons I cannot comprehend.  I shrugged and then went to fly on my cardboard box.

A mod got pissed with me, so pissed that they completely redid the karma interface to include a smite button that gave -5 karma a pop. It was called "Murderous stomping" I think.

There was once a time on the old boards where getting down to -5 karma was an automatic ban.  I went from 0 to -3 in one fell swoop after I suggested that Terra looked like Harry Knowles, and actually got concerned that I might get the boot.

I still have nightmares where bronto and talking time are real places but talking time is like this old scary public bathroom and we live in an awesome cave with stalactites and cool sparkle rocks and chairs that fly

You're right, I started off thinking about the nightmares where I get lost in the tt bathroom then started rambling about our awesome cave.

Sometimes I actually wonder if I should be concerned about my mental health when I can't remember if something actually happened or if I dreamed it.  This only applies to dreams that are within the realm of possibility, but still.

I was in a comic store looking at stuff. Some fat guy who's pretty much a human version the Simpsons' comic book guy (except his voice sounded kinda like a guy I used to work with) tries to kill me, only since he's pretty much a human version the Simpsons' comic book guy, even my weak ass can deal with him without any trouble.

So he's on the ground and I'm sitting on top of him and I look over at Starr who's still just idly browsing comics and I'm all "Would you get a load of this? What the hell is this guy's problem?" and she does an 'I dunno' shrug. The guy's screaming "I will have my revenge! I swear vengeance!" and I look back at the guy and shout "What the hell for?!?!" 'cause I honestly have no clue who this guy is or what's his problem. His only reply is "You know why! You know why!" all while I'm still sitting on top of him. Then I get this sitcom-like expression of exasperation on my face and wake up.

I had a dream last night about a Zelda game that kind of wasn't a Zelda game. You controlled this child-sized stuffed doll with armor strapped to it. And the whole thing took place on a train. The last thing I remembered was making the doll flush a toilet, whereupon an explosion occurred, temporarily derailing the train. I guess it was just an 'adventure' game, but I'm pretty sure it had something to do with Zelda.

I've known fellers like that.

Sounds... interesting. I'd play it!

I had one of those dreams that I know lots of people have all the time where everything starts going right in my life and everything is very enjoyable.

The saddest part is that the part where I recognized it had to be a dream and woke up was when my mom actually bought groceries.  ::(:

I have those dreams except I'm Veronica Mars, and Veronica Mars' boyfriend is my boyfriend, and Veronica Mars' friends are my friends.

Last dream I remember was from a few days ago and I was beginning a threeway.

I am glad I am not the only one who dreams that their life is good. Not great or fantastic, but everything is going your way to a reasonable degree.

Of course, as I've said earlier, most of my dreams end with me dead. These are no exception

I usually have pretty good, or at least neutral dreams.

My "nightmares" are usually really mundane things like "Oh no, my house has been burgled!" or "tax Audit!" which aren't scary or upsetting. I find they're my brain's way of reminding me that things aren't so bad and that even bad everyday scenarios can be recovered from, so that I don't panic or become excessively stupid if such misfortunes do occur.

And you're taking a test that Veronica Mars didn't study for, clad only in Veronica Mars' underwear.

I had a dream where there was a hair caught in my ear piercing. I pulled it out and it was crusted with scabs and flakes of chrome.

I had a dream where a girl went to live with her uncle and nephew. The uncle was working on some sort of book, and she spent a lot of time playing with the nephew. Eventually weird shit started to happen, I remember particularly the nephew standing at the door from inside the house and watching a younger version of himself trying to get in, and some friends of the uncle started coming over. The friends were normal until this freaky fake-blonde lady showed up and somehow it got out she was a neo-Nazi. From there the girl found out that her uncle and all his friends were part of some magic cannibalism cult, and they sacrificed the girl.

I didn't like the ending and I was half awake, so I rewound the dream and tried to save the girl. This time she got suspicious much earlier and started investigating the uncle. To no avail, as he quickly caught on when she started asking about his book (it was some book of horrible forbidden spells that required human flesh). She ended up running into the nearby shark pool to at least keep herself from being a sacrifice, and managed to drag the uncle in there too. They both got eaten by sharks.

I rewound the dream again, because being eaten by sharks was a terrible ending. Now the girl was much more subtle about figuring things out and started to make plans to escape without the uncle noticing. I remember not being able to tell if the uncle was actually on to her or not, he kept making cryptic comments, but he had been weird since the second go-round. Eventually the girl managed to sneak out of the house and find a boat (they were on an island) to take her back to the mainland, but it was a motor boat and she couldn't start it without waking up the uncle. The dream ended with her trying to move the boat away from the pier with her hands and get into a current so she could get away.

This time I decided to leave it at that because the uncle was seriously creeping me out and just wake up long enough to clear the dream out so I wouldn't have it again.
