I had a strange dream that involved Dragon Ball Z-style physics, Final Fantasy XIII's battle system, and a guest star spot by Scute Mob from Magic: The Gathering.  My brain even called it out when they appeared "Our special guest star: Scute Mobs! *applause*"

Warning: ridiculously icky dream ahead!

I am serious, it is gross. You will probably regret reading it.

Last chance.
I found out my reproductive organ was forked at the base, ending in two spindly but extremely long "prongs". I couldn't help taking it (well, them) for a test drive, and the deal was sealed as usual... except in how the usually expected fluid emission was replaced by life-threatening amounts of dark, slimy blood.
I was never so relieved to wake up and confirm that I only had a single
wing-wong
.

Oh, I remembered something about my Scute Mob-related dream last night.

I said "This is bullshit."  and my alarm went off, almost as if on cue.

My dream last night was gross and weird but no where near Franky's.

I dreamt I woke up to laughter and some terrorists where giggling about the "terrorism" they played on me. They replaced my eardrums with bombs. As it turned out, they were those black snake things and not bombs. And they set a trigger word.

"What the fuck is wrong with you guys? This is more like a prank!" As soon as I said that, the black snakes erupted from my ears. The worst part of it was they were grey and gritty. It was like densely packed, coarse sand was erupting from my ears and the pressure was horrible. I had to treat my ears like I was popping a pimple or something.

I can still feel the grit rubbing around my inner ear.

Warning: ridiculously icky dream ahead!

My icky dream was that the shower drain had gotten clogged again and I was up to my ankles in gross water.

Also, unless you describe your bodily fluids in more gruesome detail, it's not really that icky. It's just a story about having more wangs, neither of which was prehensile! I'm pretty sure that's not uncommon. Once I presented a dream girlfriend a boquet of boners, in those terms.

Zed's dream sounds like he's been reading too much of the Warren Ellis blog.

Policemen in heavy, dripping-wet rain ponchos chase a bunch of black-clad hoodlums up an overcrowded tenement building. The gang leader grabs a terrified pajama-clad teenage girl on his way up while his goons draw pistols and open fire on the police. Several officers and a few bystanders fall, dead or wounded, but the law manages to take down the criminals and resume the pursuit.

Cut to the rooftop. The place used to be a public men's restroom, but that was long ago, before a fire decapitated the building. There is little left of the "room", only a blackened wall lined with urinals exposed to the raging winds. The gang leader runs in, holding a revolver in one hand and the girl in the other. It's raining, hard. Four police officers rush in.

"Where are the bombs?", one of them shouts. "Where's the goddamn bombs?" The criminal holds the girl close to him, his gun to her head. He smiles. The officers train their weapons on him. For a moment, nothing is heard but the rain on the slick tile floor, the water rushing down the stairs, and the hostage's muffled screams.

The bandit drops his weapon.

PAF!

PAFPAFPAF! PAF!

One by one, the urinals detonate weakly in short-lived bursts of dust and clattering porcelain. The last one barely cracks.

"Hahaha... Hahahaha!"

The bandit laughs. He puts his hands behind his head and drops to his knees, in throes of hilarity. The girl runs behind the policemen.

The camera pulls back and up, looking down at the scene, slowly zooming out and rising as the officers tackle the criminal and cuff him. The camera keeps gaining altitude, framing the building, the block, and gradually the dark, wet city. The sound of the rain is replaced by muffled 911 dispatches, dozens of them. Police sirens, left, right, above, below, all around. Running, shooting. Tired, overworked men breathing heavily. Explosions. Laughter, a growing cacophony of laughter, all kinds, manic giggling, or deep, greasy rumbles. Everywhere, all at once.

Title card, green on purple.

My dream last night involved the trolls from Homestuck. Which is strange, since all I know of them comes from anecdotal evidence.

You hate those dreams where you'd have them and think IN THE DREAM "man, I really ought to post this to the Adventures in Slumberland thread when I wake up"?  Well I had one of those last night.

And I forgot it. :(

Yes. Mine involved giants sewing mushroom caps together.

I haven't been able to get good solid sleep now for like, years. I had pretty much resigned myself to only getting like 4 hours of rest a night and life was ok (occasional crashes for 12 hours once or twice a month weren't so bad). However, now I seem to be having a terrible other sleep pattern. I go to be at like 1-2 am. I don't fall asleep for like an hour or so and then I don't actually really sleep for like 10 hours and then I get up. It sucks. Its like, a few minutes of sleep a few minutes of groggy not quite awake over and over for like 10 or so hours, with pretty much no actual 'rest' happening. So I'm in bed 10 to 12 hours now, and I still feel like shit and am always tired.

And the really bad part is, every adult in my family that I ask can't sleep well and has never been able to sleep well either. So I'm guessing its genetic.

Maybe it's a form of sleep apnea?

You should probably have yourself checked out by a sleep specialist if you can.

Well the thing is, when I do sleep, like once or twice a week, I sleep soundly, dream, have a nice go of it. But like, five or so days a week I just cannot fucking sleep and I wake up feeling like shit. I think it has more to do with stress than anything.

If it was less than half the week, I'd probably say sure, drop it. But stress or no, if it's that frequent you really should have it seen to.

Caffeine, maybe, or maybe it's down to when you eat food?
