If he really wants to play badly, just boot my ass in his favour. I'll play "open sub" for a team who's down a man if that's the case.

Okay, if I allow any more people to jump in, this league will take too damn long and I worry about waning interest, so I'm going to take the 26 names I have right now. I will need two volunteers who would be willing to sit on the bench until someone needs to substitute their team due to scheduling conflicts. Anyone else who would wish to participate in this fashion need only let me know, and I'll add you to the Mercenaries list.

But, that said, I'll take the two first volunteers of those who have already signed up to start the Mercenaries list.

Calorie Mate has agreed to go as an understudy/mercenary.  Either talk to him or I_M if you need someone to fill a slot on your team due to scheduling conflicts.

Now...THE TEAMS WILL COMMENCE.

Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, Engineers and Spies, I give you...

THE TEAMS

Team 1:
Patito (Brontoforumus)
Bleck (Brontoforumus)
Sheana (Talking Time)
Mr. Saturn (Brontoforumus)

Team 2:
dtsund (Talking Time)
Envy (Bronotoforumus)
J. Fink (Talking Time)
Meikai (Brontoforumus)

Team 3:
Alixsar (Talking Time)
Sprite (Talking Time)
Poetfox (Talking Time)
Famf (Brontoforumus)

Team 4:
Ereror/Defenseless Cow (Talking Time)
HessianD (Talking Time)
Lottel (Brontoforumus)
Daikaiju (Talking Time)

Team 5:
Demoweasel (Talking Time)
Morbid Coffee (Talking Time)
Kayin (Brontoforumus)
Mr. J. (Talking Time)

Team 6:
Stephen (talking Time)
Fowl/Rygaron (Brontofoumus)
Destil (Talking Time)
Makaris (Brontoforumus)

...and there you have it!  YOUR TEAMS.

Now, get together, all of you, and do three things:

1. Come up with a suitably awesome team name!  One to strike fear in your opponent's heart!
2. Come up with an equally awesome three-letter code for your team, to be used in Tournament Mode so I can glance at the scoreboard and easily know which team is which!  It should also strike fear in to the opponent's heart!
3. Come up with an impossibly awesome team logo so I can use them in highlight reels and other purposes!  Use them as sprays to strike fear in your opponent's heart!

As far as when the season will start now, does anyone have objections with Monday, the 23rd of August?

Don't know Stephen, but I know Destil is pretty solid.  I don't remember playing with Rygaron too much, though.  I'll start thinking of a name right away.

I like how the teams are numbered in order from the winners of the tournament down to the losers.

Okay.  The finals will be a double-elimination scheme.  Seeding will be determined by Win/Loss record, and any ties will be resolved by total number of individual rounds won.  The #1 and #2 teams will receive a bye on the first round, and #4 will play #6, and #3 will play #5.

Should make a note that the Wrangler has been banned for the upcoming CEVO season.

According to CEVO's official rules it still says that the only banned weapon is the Sandman.  SOURCE PLX

Hmm.

Well, I'm reading this, and one of the main gripes is a nigh-impossible choke hold on the mid point of Badlands.

Does anyone else feel that the Wrangler or Natasha should be banned?
