After too much but not enough consideration:

1. To Kill a Mockingbird
2. Casablanca
3. The Fellowship of the Ring
4. Cannibal! The Musical
5. The Rocky Horror Picture Show

(Honourable Mentions: Riki-Oh, Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter, The Thing, Shakespeare in Love)

I love how the classiness of my list starts out on a plateau, stumbles, then takes an instant swan dive.

And bottoms out at Shakespeare in Love.

Which fellowship?

Pick the top five trashiest animated movies you can think of. That's my top five.

Ralph Bakshi's "Lord Of The Rings"? On a top five films list? You're trolling.

UP
Iron Giant
Rocky Horror Picture Show
SW: A New Hope
Back to the Future

Fuck. I only own RHPS. And this is completely different than "Favorite Movies" and are judged by my own ridiculous criteria.

There Will Be Blood, Oldboy, The Passenger, In Bruges, Paprika.  Except for There Will Be Blood and The Passenger, the list is given to capricious changes.  I tend to have favourite writers or directors rather than specific movies by them.

Raging Bull, A Streetcar Named Desire, Apocalypse Now, Taxi Driver, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. Definitely not in that order and probably not even those movies. Just the first that popped into my mind.

I don't think I could ever reasonably name a top five of any kind, but the first five to come to mind as favourites that I could watch again and again (in no particular order) are:

The Shawshank Redemption
Slap Shot
The Good The Bad & the Ugly
The Man Who Would Be King
Royal Space Force: Wings of Honnaemise

Honourable mentions go to Black Belt Jones, The Blues Brothers, Blazing Saddles, UP and Wall-E

Wings of Honneamise (I needed to feel those wings, to reach the greater heights...)
The Matrix
No Country for Old Men
Memento
The Room

People's tastes in movies is really different sometimes. Like I really didn't enjoy most of The Royal Tenenbaums but I loved Rushmore and The Life Aquatic.

The Untouchables
Road to Perdition
Death of a Tea Master
Chinatown
Tous les matins du monde

I might not have thought to mention that fifth one had the question been asked earlier, but it so happens that Alain Corneau died two days ago and upon reflection I realized that Tous les matins du monde is my favorite French-language movie of all time.

I guess these are just movies that I really enjoy a lot, more than movies that would traditionally be considered "great".

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
The Fabulous Destiny of Amelie Poulain
True Romance
The Big Hit
Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead

And as my Facebook account said after these titles for a good two years: special mention for Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog.
