WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?

For that matter, Fuchs. Let's all test me, so that the flamethrower can burn Blair tonight instead.

I couldn't agree more, Fuchs.  Sorry, but killing an innocent man because we told him not to test himself is a pretty weak excuse to me.

To be fair, he did tell us yesterday that he was going to kill Norris.
No, no, that's fine. No problem. Let's look at Blair instead.

After all, I have a little test of my own that we can use on you afterward.

If you really thought that his reason for killing Norris was weak, you could have raised your objections before he was killed instead of waiting till he was blown to hell.

Garry is just giddy at the chance to not get tested tonight.

PLEASE test Garry.

Why Garry? (Not that I object, but a reason would be nice.)

I think your first two comments just answered the third one?

If people want to test Garry, I'd support that. I think Bennings was asking why test Garry rather than why isn't Garry likely to be tested tonight, though. However: I'm not removing my vote from myself unless there's nobody else voting for me.

I will say this.

One more time.

I.

Work.

For a fucking.

Living.

By the time I knew Fuchs was actually telling the truth about his planning to be a total shithead, Norris was already a red smear on the wall.

I will vote for the next person who challenges me based on my posting pattern without qualification.  Fuck right off.

A quick reading from the diary of the late Noris Batasha:

"I came up with a pretty good plan! I got to decide who we test today, so I decided to put it to a vote. Totally impartial, right? It's a risk nobody infected by the Thing would take, as everybody could just as easily make me test myself or another infected. And I'd have no reason to say no! So this way, we'd get to prove the innocence of at least one person (me!), and maybe even the innocence of two other players! I'm so smart!

And, Fuchs, that joker! He made a wise crack about using the dynamite on me as a contingency. I didn't find it especially funny, mostly because how stupid it was. I mean, seriously? What kind of complete retard would kill the guy who's almost completely proven his innocence? I mean, anyone who'd even think about doing something so aneurysm-inducingly stupid would barely be able to breath and blink at the same time without suffocating to death! I mean, good God, that's so fucking dumb that I can't hardly believe it. If he killed me with Dynamite, he'd be the most dumbshit fuckwit ever to 'tard his way through life without killing himself on a childproof toilet seat!

But I'm glad Fuchs isn't shitbrained enough to try something so inconceivably dumb. I'd rather not die because the world's dumbest man couldn't take a fucking hint.

Fuchs appears to be talking to himself. "Hey, guess what? Your obvious innocence is only obvious to yourself. Any seemingly foolproof plan that somehow 'proves' your innocence that doesn't involve testing yourself is suspect: sure, a Thing might be leery of the possibility of people voting for a self-test, but a Thing is also just as capable of arguing that that very possibility means we shouldn't waste time with voting for it as the test recipient. I may be a dick for throwing dynamite at a fellow innocent--but I'm a dick with a 1/9 chance of being a newly-turned Thing, rather than a dick with a 3/11 chance of being a Thing. Which, yes, is such a minor mathematical difference that you might as well not bother: it's something I failed to consider before committing to this plan... just as you failed to consider that your plan doesn't necessarily exonerate you in every innocent's eyes."

Still voting for myself, but:

MacReady
Blair
Childs
Bennings
Garry
Windows

Two of these people are Things.

If I'd been thinking, I'd have declared hammertime of my own after declaring my intention to throw dynamite. The fact that I didn't was unfair to Norris, and I apologize. It was shitty of me to jump the gun just because Bennings seemed suspicious of my delay; I forgot that turned Things are still capable of throwing dynamite, so that wouldn't actually clear my name. It was a stupid mistake, and as I said before, I'm probably wrong most of the time. Sorry.

I stand by my wanting to test Blair.  I wouldn't scream like a little girl and/or Nauls if we wanted to test Garry or Childs either, though.

OK, that's two Hammertimes used, so you've got another 48 hours once the first 48 hours are up. Which leaves you with about 50 hours or so from the time of this posting.

Right now Fuchs might seem crazier than a Taimanin Asagi girl, but he's right, by God. I'm hoping someone will arrive at a more decisive decision soon, since all this talk is making my head spin faster than a Giga Drill Breaker, but I think Windows, Macready, Childs and Garry are our top testing targets.

Also, I helped myself to Norris's anime collection, I hope nobody minds.

Sorry about that, didn't mean to push your buttons.
I actually thought you were still in character when you said this:

Gentlemen, some of us actually have to work every once in a while to run this station.  I'd appreciate it if you stopped asking me to forsake my duties in order to play in your little game.

If anybody asks again where I am, tell them I'm out getting a SANDWICH.

anyways, mea culpa.

Assuming my detonation didn't change how the votes stand:

Quote
Copper votes Garry
Childs votes Garry
MacReady votes Blair
Blair votes Garry
Fuchs votes Fuchs
Garry votes Fuchs

Windows hasn't voted
Bennings hasn't voted
Nauls hasn't voted
Palmer hasn't voted

Garry has 3 votes, I have 2, and Blair has 1. If two more people vote for Garry, I'll switch my vote as well. Windows, Bennings, Nauls, Palmer: what's going on, guys? Why so quiet?

Also, I guess I was just waking up, but yeah doing Blair is EXTREMELY important, too, given his actions so far. I thought about waiting till tomorrow to say this, but I could be a BRICK SHITHOUSE by then.

Haven't voted so far because we have plenty of time left in the day, and I've hardly been quiet, so, I'm not going to bandwagon yet.

Still voting for myself, but:

MacReady
Blair
Childs
Bennings
Garry
Windows

Two of these people are Things.

If you add yourself to the list, then sure.

Actually, if anybody on that list has dynamite, they should throw it at me. That'll prove that I wasn't turned, that that individual isn't an original, and we can focus the voting on somebody else who might be an original. We should use the dynamite to get as much information before the Things get the chance to turn people with it and waste it on somebody who's already been tested who's innocent.

So you're saying it's safer to throw our dynamite now? I think you've cracked your pot, old boy.

If any of you lads have dynamite, at least hold off for Fuchs' explanation before you start hurling it around!

Wait wait, how many people do we have left here? Really think we want to avoid killing non things to prove stuff when every night a new person is a thing anyway. I really feel like dynamite should be reserved for being thrown at people we actually suspect of being an alien and not just to prove guilt of remaining players or we are gonna lose this. I mean, am I crazy or does that seem obvious to everyone?

So unless you have some sort of fool proof mathematical plan for this to work, I really don't think someone should just dynamite you.

Friday, can we get a recap on who is alive and where the votes lie?

We should use the dynamite to get as much information before the Things get the chance to turn people with it and waste it on somebody who's already been tested who's innocent.

Okay, what.  If you're innocent, there's little reason to be attempting to put yourself out of the game, because of the following drawbacks:

If you're somehow a crazy suicidal innocent, this plan would:

-Out another dynamite, narrowing the pool for Things to assimilate any remaining flamers/dynamites
-Waste another dynamite that could have been used blowing up Things
+-While it would clear one person from being an original, it would then raise suspicion on *that* dynamite for killing an inno, just like what happened to you, putting us in the same position as before
+-It would mean one less active dynamite for Things to potentially assimilate, but this relies on the caveat above.
+-Yes, it would save one scan, but it would also destroy another innocent vote and any influence you might have

If you're a Thing, well, then you've already blown your wad in a very suspicious manner and are probably expendable, allowing you to pull these sorts of tricks, and a scan will out you anyway.  The 'I'm priming my dynamite and killing whoever votes for me' ploy, while verifying that no one could shut down your power, is also crazy suspicious.

Rather than potentially wasting more innocents, I think the best thing to do is scan Fuchs.

My dynamite proposal was ill-considered. Just trying to think of ways we can narrow the pool of potential original things. Having one of the six people I mentioned throw dynamite at me would waste dynamite, but it would exonerate one person while freeing the vote for somebody else. Then there'd only be four people who the original Things could be.
