They're calling it for Warren.  I just fist-pumped and said "Hell to the yeah."

So if Romney wins, it's a victory for racism, sexism, and rolling back civil liberties, right?

EDIT:
But at least the south won't rise again.

Fox News calling Wisconsin for Obama; given that it's Fox News I'd say that's pretty definitive (especially with the bullshit "Romney leads in overall electoral-vote count" spin in the second half of the headline).

I think they said this is the first time neither person on a ticket has carried his home state since the 1930's?

Ohio still up in the air but if it goes Obama then it's over.

Mourdock loses.  Now that's what *I* call a gift from God.

Or just Mourdock giving the Democrats the gift of being a gigantic fucking dumbshit.

And Claire McCaskill wins reelection. Today's important reminder to the GOP: Women don't like you making light of rape.

CNN talking heads panel is basically calling the election for Obama right now. Unless Dade county blows up, Obama is going to take Florida, which leaves Romney with way too many states he has to take to win.

When they call Florida for Obama, be sure and flip over to Fox News.

Not seeing it in Google News.  Source?

Keeping in mind that they don't count provisional ballots for another week and a half...

EDIT: Stewart just called it.  He didn't say Ohio but he said Obama's won.

Prop 204 in AZ goes down.  That was the permanent extension of the 1% sales tax increase.

I...have mixed feelings.  I voted for it because we desperately need the education dollars, but on the other hand sales taxes are inherently regressive and a shitty damn way to pay for schools.

On the whole it sucks that it went down, and schools are going to suffer for it.  But I like to think it's a temporary setback and at some point someone will find a better way to pay for it.

Can't say I expect a damn thing to change in Washington, though.

They haven't called it yet, so far as I can see.  The only two azcentral is reporting are 204 and 121 (the Top Two primary).

I voted No on 121 -- I DO see how it's likely to put more moderate Republicans in office, but y'know, we DID elect Napolitano to two terms (of which she served 1.5) under the current system.  And I think the Top Two system would shut third parties out entirely.

EDIT: Wait, more:

Quote
Voters also said no to proposals to give the governor more say in judicial appointments and to declare state sovereignty over most of Arizona's federal land.

Good on #1.  Not sure which one they're referring to with that second one, whether it's 119 or 120.  They're pretty different.

Romney still hasn't conceded; the local Fox affiliate is hemming and hawing trying to figure out why and noting that Fox News is trying to say Ohio was called too early.

AZ's calling Kyl's seat for Flake.  Which is disappointing, but he's still better than Kyl and only moderately worse than Carmona.

Obama has pretty much taken every swing state and Virginia.

It's a building momentum in this country of Everybody Else vs. Hard Conservatives.  And yeah, the fact that "Not a Hard Conservative" was the only clear winner this time is not lost on anyone.

As for what happens now, I think it was summed up best on the Report:

NOW you've got a black president with NOTHING TO LOSE.
