Usually, when you scratch Ron Paul, you find neo-naziism.  This time they scratched the neo-nazis and found Ron Paul.  A shocking twist!

What about Ron Paul's long history of open white supremacism makes you think it's not?

Not too huge of a surprise if substantiated.  I'll put more credit in the story when I see it on a site without a sidebar full of liberal shock headlines.

What bothers me is the "taking down" of an organization that is unquestionably terrible but hasn't really done anything illegal, unethical or militant.  Can't we let whatever visage of democracy we still have here at least take a shot of naturally selecting these guys out of the meme pool instead of going straight for some kind of judgement cyberocracy?

Pretty sure the trend towards Internet Lynch Mobs is growing rather than declining.

Reuters: Obama gains over Romney amid better economy: poll

And that's really it in a nutshell.  If the economy continues to improve, Obama's got it in the bag; if it doesn't, Romney's got a shot, no matter how badly he continues to fuck up.

Santorum takes 3 (1 of them nonbinding); media now has to pretend he could beat Romney.

Obama's approval rises to 50%, Congress drops to 10%.

Expect a lot more "Everything ever is Congress's fault" in the next nine months or so.

Speaking of Vanity Fair, they've got a great new article on Romney.

You really do get the sense that is has all been an incredibly long-term and very well-calculated plan.

I can't see Romney winning Michigan again after that "Let Detroit go bankrupt" talk.

Doubling down is probably the best option he's left himself (he can't ignore it and if he tries to back off it'll just feed into the flip-flopper narrative) but it still won't do him any favors.

And per this:

Obama's approval rises to 50%, Congress drops to 10%.

Expect a lot more "Everything ever is Congress's fault" in the next nine months or so.

Now and always.

Congress's approval rating will always be lower than the President's.  This is because the President is one dude and Congress is not.  The approval rating for Congress as a whole is a bullshit statistic and the average approval rating for every individual in Congress is a much more reasonable indication of how elections are going to go -- but of course Congress's approval rating is a convenient punching bag for an opposition candidate or presidential candidate to use.  And yeah, even if it IS a bullshit statistic, I think this disparity has to be a record.

I wasn't trying to make an apple-oranges comparison there.  The two figures are significant because they are much higher/lower than they've been tacking for the last four years.  Also, 10% is an actual record low, soooo...
