Newbie, why?
The three major suspects under discussion are Kazz, Guild, and myself.
FIRST: Kazz is probably evil; I even suggested why he would have saved his bullet for the team that turned him. However, as I stated previously, I'm open to the idea that he wasn't turned, and I'm not comfortable writing him off until we've given him enough time. If lynchtime tomorrow rolls around and he still hasn't posted, I'll probably use my hammertime and switch my vote to him.
SECOND: I've said more than enough on the subject of Guild already this game. I've taken to thinking of him as Schrödinger's wolf, because his lines of reasoning are so alien and unintuitive to me that he always simultaneously seems both innocent and evil. I'm pretty sure that he'd read that and immediately accuse me of being a vampire because why else would I specifically say wolf and not something else, nevermind the fact that a reference to Schrödinger's cat that uses "monster" or "vampwolf" or something strikes me as connotationally and aesthetically terrible, and my desire to use communication that I wouldn't personally find infuriating trumps my desire to always signal that my internal model of this game's state includes my view of myself as an innocent who doesn't know the exact makeup of the wolf team or vamp team. I know I make mistakes as a player, but the fact that he's accusing
those posts of containing
those mistakes feels a little insulting. Give me a little more credit than that, man.
I'm eager for Guild to be out of the game, because the tension between his two possible identities is driving me up the wall: he's either innocent and playing very poorly, or he's a non-innocent and he's playing with a subtle, exasperating brilliance. I would far prefer for the latter scenario to be true, because he approaches these games with an enthusiasm very much like my own, and I would like to see such enthusiasm rewarded with gameplay success. His flights of fancy and seemingly random accusations have needled me into turning myself into one of the top three suspects right now. My history with wolfgames shows that it really doesn't take much for that to happen, but at least if he's evil then all his machinations will bear fruit, and I'd much rather that be the case than the alternative—although I realize now that this isn't reason enough to vote for him.
If people actually believe he's wolfish, though,
I definitely agree. Public opinion's moving away from him, though.
THIRD: Verde just voted for Friend on day 1. When I was under the impression that anybody could will their items to somebody else, Guild tried to will his items to Verde. When Guild was trying to convince people to continue with the day 1 lynch, Verde argued in support of that. He pushed against the Ohak lynch on day 2, but he was one of the early votes for McDohl. Day 3, he's the first person to actually vote for Kazz, but he switched to me after Kazz started getting more votes.
All of that suggests to me a very subtle allegiance between Guild and Verde. I can easily see a scenario where they're both vamps and Guild is the loud one and Verde is the quiet one, and when we lynch Guild as we're prone to, Verde can protest that Guild willed him those items as a misdirection tactic—which makes particular sense if Guild spends all his money on PI biddings as he admitted to doing on day 2. I'll admit that I'm going mostly on instinct here, but I mainly voted for Verde not because I thought we'd get him lynched, but because I wanted it known that I had done so, should my innocence be proved with my death in the near future. (Along those same lines: I get fishy feelings from Transportation and NexAdruin. I'm curious about Zara, Niku, koah, and Romosome. I don't yet feel suspicious of Friend, angry beaver, Smiler, Kayma, or Zach. I'm heavily conflicted about Classic and LaserBeing. I'm pretty sure Envy's a vampire (or werewolf?) now, but I'm not sure I want to lynch the oracle on a hunch until we've taken out the Big Bads, since I've already argued why both groups might have wanted to avoid him.)
