Basically, we're fucked. We're relying on the fact that the bads need to slay the weretiger to close a victory to delay them long enough that we can thin out their numbers and win ourselves. We kind of want Nex alive because for whatever reason our PI trusts him and agrees with his requests. He can report the PI's findings without risking the PI or an unknown innocent.

Unfortunately, he's a crafty motherfucker and is probably planting all sorts of crazy false infos to confuse us after he's dead.

Laser, Newbie, and Envy are all players who are for one reason or another, "important" and considered prime turning targets.

Niku, whom I direly hate, is suggesting that newbie and Nex should die... but come to think of it I'm not sure why.

Verde, Kayma, and Beaver have been quiet and I believe the best thing for innocents to do is talk, because silence says the least about you and what you know.

ROMO I AM GOING TO CUT YOU TO DEATH IF YOU DON'T START TALKING I HAVE MY IMAGE MACROS ALREADY PICKED OUT IT IS GOING TO BE SO GREAT

(because right now we're all pretty much sure of a vampire victory unless something is done).

Also considering the fact that the vampires have never, ever won, it disturbs me that we are just kind of taking this for granted. Of course the wolves are going to say they're losing. We don't know how many wolves the game started with. Could have been three, could have been five. We have technically killed more vampires than werewolves at this point. But no, the poor, poor wolves must be on the verge of extinction!

Assuming the vampires turned every night, which seems like a good bet to make, there are currently 5 of them. 5 vampires out of 12 people. And the number is going to grow tonight.

I don't think this has ever happened.

Does anyone who is not a slavering bloodthirsty monster want to jump in here?

I've never played this game before, and only skimmed one of the other games (the one in which McDohl was sabered while he had the bear, in fact). I'm assuming the worst here, and I guess that isn't really fair, but the wolves can't kill anyone and nobody is stopping the vampires except maybe they don't want to accidentally team up with the weretiger.

Romosome was outed by Guild as being the gravedigger. He might be turned now, though.

While you are correct about us killing more vampires, the vamps can regenerate their numbers, unlike the wolves. The lack of night deaths means that the vamps have potentially added to their numbers, whereas for the wolves it means they've accomplished jack shit.

Friday is usually quick to point out that the total number of bads is approximately 1/3 the number of players altogether. We had 20 players; McDohl and Nex were wolves, Guild was devil, Smiler's Olrox, and there's a Dracula still out there. I strongly doubt we started with more than 4 wolves.

Vampires present a disproportionate threat because we have no way of knowing how audacious they've been with their turning attempts. Maybe Dracula's been sitting back and scrying all game, but maybe they have twice as many players currently living as they started with. Then there's the fact that I've largely been keeping the wolves in check by keeping wolfsbane on the market, but nothing currently exists (other than the Holy Cross) which can keep the vampires in check; they can turn until all the innocents are vampires, and then Dracula or his lieutenant can identify the weretiger at their leisure. The victory strategy for either the wolves or the innocents at this point is increasingly tenuous.

Newbie, you know what you have to do for the innocents. You have to die. I don't like it either (and I'm being honest, here - I'd much rather convince them you're a vampire, which you will be if you live, and trick them into killing you, but that's just me wanting to look awesome). Alternatively, you hope to be turned tonight, and then you'll be on the winning team before the wolves eventually kill you after spending every night and day trying to get past your defenses.

Also, I'm getting suspicious of Laser because all of a sudden he's saying "no wait the vampires probably aren't even a problem" when the whole town agrees they are.

I'm not saying they're not a problem, it's just that I'd feel a lot better if "the whole town" meant someone besides you, Newbie and Classic, two thirds of whom I assume to be wolves.

The rest of the town doesn't seem to be talking, except Niku who come the fuck on look at his teeth.

Also Friend seems to be on the "vampires are the bigger threat" side and he's, well, friendly, according to the oracle.

I think the important thing to do right now is kill people who have a chance of being Dracula.

Romosome - Gravedigger
Niku - ?
Classic - ?
Laser has the Lightsaber
Envy - Oracle
Newbie - Baner
Kayma - ?
Verde - ?
Angry Beaver - Innocent
Friend - 'Innocent'
Zach - ?
NexAdruin - Wolf

We should really be focusing our attention on the question marks.

It's ridiculous to lynch/saber Newbie on the basis of him possibly being the baner. While selling wolfsbane may hamper the wolves' ability to kill, not everyone will buy wolfsbane night after night after night. Some of us are simply too greedy and will save money to buy sweet auction house items instead. You just want us to kill the baner to make it easier for you to win, which might coincidentally help us if you kill vampires.

Also, I'm getting suspicious of Laser because all of a sudden he's saying "no wait the vampires probably aren't even a problem" when the whole town agrees they are.

I disagree. While I don't know if Laserbeing is good or bad, he was definitely addressing a legitimate concern: we really don't know how many vampires there are, and while there are a potential lot of them out there, it is also possible that the vampires' numbers are much lower than we are anticipating. The potential risk is too great in my opinion to leave the vampires unchecked, though.

Warning - while you were typing 3 new replies have been posted. You may wish to review your post.

Well, my points aren't really that relevant anymore but I already typed them out so too bad. Also:

Also Friend seems to be on the "vampires are the bigger threat" side and he's, well, friendly, according to the oracle.

While I do believe that the vampires are probably the bigger threat, that doesn't mean I'm correct. Don't blindly follow my opinion just because I'm (probably) innocent. I'm just taking shots in the dark here.

And again, Niku's the question mark with the biggest teeth. If we're going to kill a random question mark, doesn't it make sense to kill that one? Killing quiet people hasn't gotten you guys anywhere so far.

Warning - etc

Newbie isn't possibly the baner. He is the baner. I don't expect the PI to out himself to confirm this, but there are at least 3 of us that know, and only one of those three is a wolf.

Yes, exactly my point.

Well, the sword votes are still tied up between Newbie and Niku. I'm going to wait a little while longer and then kill Niku if nobody else objects. The wolves can go ahead and kill Newbie tonight; if he's really innocent and willing to sacrifice himself, he won't bid on the death shields. Meanwhile we can lynch Kayma or something.

Nex you never answered my question. Did you try to kill Newbie before?

Wait what?

Yeah, I'm doom-and-glooming over the fact that we're fucked. I'm not saying that the vampires are the greatest threat to freedom and love ever. Stop putting words in my mouth.

Facts is: We're boned. We need bads like Nex to do some heavy lifting for us if we want to win.

To be honest, we don't actually want Dracula to die (yet) because he's got a scrying power and should be using it to make sure the weretiger doesn't win. The weretiger is the bad's NUMBER ONE PRIORITY. And I'm going to keep screaming that from the hills because I want to win and the only way I see us winning is by keeping the weretiger as scary as fucking possible to the bads.

Also, have I mentioned that I hate Niku so, so much? And I'm willing to bet my shorts that newbie is still on our side tonight?

Saving the lynch vote for after your sabering is probably a smart move, but I'm not sure what I'll be able to glean from his role.

weretiger ... weretiger ... weretiger

I'm working under the assumption that the weretiger has the cloak of invisibility, and basically the only person who can track him down is the PI. Which means that all three sides absolutely must protect the PI until the weretiger is dead. What we DON'T need is a master vampire turning everyone into vampires so that they can win as soon as the tiger goes down.

When did you ask this? And really, why should I answer? Not like it isn't public record anyway...

NexAdruin, who did you guys try to eat last night?

I just wanted confirmation. Because the reason I guessed Newbie was the baner was because I was sure you would have tried to kill him after he outed you. But lo and behold, he survived. Which means that if you attack him again, he won't be able to protect himself a second time. I agree that the wolfsbane is stopping you from killing vampires but I don't see why we should do your job for you. You want Newbie, go get him yourself.

Okay, and while I'm chasing protected individuals, you guys can kill more silent innocents.

This is a great plan.
