I'm all for Laser doing that tomorrow. That means I don't have to scry Romosome tonight.

That doesn't actually excuse you in any way from deliberately sowing misinformation while you desperately try to figure out a way that the wolves can help the innocents AND still kill us for a win in the end.  Especially not since NEWBIE SAID HE WAS THE BANER BEFORE YOU EVER "OUTED" HIM.  The only reason you outed him, in fact, is because I said I wasn't convinced that Newbie was the baner purely on his own word.  Thankfully, you did step up to the plate so that I didn't have to come home from work and be all "derp de doo, well, still nobody claiming that they're the baner instead of Newbie, but hey Kayma, Beaver, and Verde haven't posted yet, so maaaaybe--"

Incidentally, Kayma, Beaver, and Verde haven't posted yet.  Shouldn't you be trying to lynch them for being quiet and then try to lynch them if they talk?

Yes also thank you god for hammer timing.  I was going to pretty much throw my monitor if a wolf got me killed while I was at work.

My bad, Beaver did say something.  This day has more pages than I thought it did.

No, I shouldn't be trying to lynch people for being quiet and then trying to lynch them for talking. Have I ever done that? I honestly don't remember any of my votes, but I know that I've avoided bandwagoning and changing my vote (except for Koah because that was stupid and there was nothing I could do to keep you idiots from doing it and I just wanted it to be over).

I don't deny that I have my own agenda. That was public knowledge when Newbie outed me. But right now, most people seem to think that I'm the lesser of two evils.

Yes, I get it. I changed my story. I told you guys Newbie was a vampire when I knew he wasn't. He has to die anyway, so what the fuck difference does it make?

I'm all for Laser doing that tomorrow. That means I don't have to scry Romosome tonight.

He'll stall all game if you let him, until finally the vampires achieve critical mass, and then LaserBeing and his teammate Romosome come sweeping through with fangy grins and mop up what little resistance is left.

I think you overestimate the PI's preference for your requests. Between the cost of wolfsbane exceeding the amount we earn naturally, the need to bid on valuable items, and the fact that those of us who are actually bidding might be bidding for people the PI's already scried, I'm not convinced that it's your documented wolfiness that's the reason the PI keeps picking your proposals. I can't speak for anybody else, but I've only bid on scrying targets twice this game, and I actually won the night he scried angry beaver.

I've been worried about this myself, actually. Part of my telling everyone that he likes me is trying to convince him that it's a good idea. The only evidence I can give that he is doing it on purpose is that he picked me twice in a row, and I offered 1GP each time. I was actually planning on giving him more tonight as a sort of gift/bribe, so we'll see how that goes I guess.

Which is exactly why I set up the vote. I can't stall if you don't let me.

The reasoning for the PI choosing to work for a known wolf would be that it lets the wolf release the information without fear of either the wolf being turned/eliminated by vampires, or of the PI being exposed to a turn. It actually seems pretty sensible to me.

Yes, you have done that.  That's exactly what you're doing to me.  And luckily, you don't have to remember your votes, you can go back through the thread like the rest of us.

But the bigger part of this is simple

IF NEWBIE IS AN INNOCENT, AND HE IS AGAINST YOUR TEAM, AND YOU ADMIT BOTH OF THESE THINGS, WHY IN THE FLYING FUCK WOULD ANY OF US LISTEN TO YOU SAY THAT HE HAS TO DIE?

We are not going to kill an innocent because he might be turned.  That is BUGFUCKS retarded.

LaserBeing and his teammate Romosome come sweeping through with fangy grins and mop up what little resistance is left.

This would basically be the Worst Thing.  Newbie, you're as good as we're going to get for confirmed innocence right now.  Who do you think should be sabered?

Newbie himself said he wasn't sure if he should live. He knows it's the only chance anyone has of beating the vampires.

I didn't vote for you, today at least, because you were being quiet. I voted for you after you started talking, because you seem like a vampire to me. Before you started talking, I was harping on killing Newbie so hard you could hear me snarl, and I had voted him for both the lynching and the sabering. I'm not telling you to lynch Newbie because he might be turned. I'm telling you to saber Newbie because, until he is turned, he is in the way of his own victory. He's also in the way of mine.

Yeah, I could go look at all my previous votes, but that's a waste of my time because I don't actually care. Lynching people for being quiet is stupid, and until recently I haven't been doing anything public that was specifically in the wolves' interest.

I wouldn't be listening to Nex at all if Newbie himself hadn't said the same thing.

Full disclosure—this is the conversation me and Newbie had immediately before he made his public baner claim:

I think you are either the wolfsbaner (possiblyrobably Turned) or the Master Dracula hisself.

How close am I?

I think you're Dracula, and you're trying to prove your innocence by accusing me of the same. If you guys don't turn me tonight, I'm going to come out as the baner tomorrow and request I be killed so that you won't be able to protect yourself against Nex any more.

You sir, are an enabler. What would be the point in posting if everyone felt the way you did?

Not sure I know what you're getting at, Friend. Everyone just killed an innocent because he was too quiet. Actually, it was less that he was quiet and more that he wasn't even present to defend himself. I don't think taking shots in the dark is going to help the innocents or the wolves, here. I'm not even sure it helps the vampires. That's why I said it was stupid.

I think Verde put it best:

I am all for lynching quiet people. Absent people, not so much.

The first time a bandwagon formed on Koah, I hopped on because I thought he was suspicious. When Verde said the above, I realized he had a pretty good point. Then, when another bandwagon formed on Koah, Verde totally changed course and voted for Koah despite the situation being exactly the same as it was before. Verde actually better fits the mold of "quiet". Someone who posts just enough to get the attention off of his back. If you're not sure of what I'm getting at, let me explain.

When I say you're an enabler, what I mean is that people with roles like Wolf/Dracula who stay quiet because they don't want to slip up and reveal themselves are protected by people like you when you ignore them, since they haven't said anything suspicious. Also, what exactly do you mean by "taking shots in the dark"? Do you mean when we vote on what you think is suspicious, suddenly we're not "taking shots in the dark"? because whether they say something or nothing, we never truly know what their role is until they're dead. So whenever we vote, what we are essentially doing is "taking shots in the dark".

I think that voting with me on Niku is significantly less of a shot in the dark than voting on someone who is barely talking. I would say this whether I meant it or not, though, since I obviously want Niku dead and have my own agenda and etc.

I have a better understanding of what you meant now, though, and I can see the argument. I'm not trying to cover anyone just because they've been quiet. I just don't want to see another innocent strung up for nothing until we've dealt with the vampire problem.

It can't possibly be that I actually think you're a vampire, right?
