But yeah. The "Anonymous" hacker group is made of a tight core. With a few underling cores for light work. The rest of it are taggers on who SAY they are in the group. Last estimate there are 8 inner guys, about 14-18 more outsiders that only get called in very rarely, and some 50,000 wannabe guys who have no affiliation. The core group said they had nothing to do with it. They can't speak for people they work with, and they certainly can't speak for people who claim to represent them.
And unfortunately, there were talks I heard about an investigation into 4chan again. As a hacker meeting ground. Now, I don't have a source at all and it sounds like wild speculation, but in any case, the hacker group has at most a loose association with the website anymore. So it'll be just a waste of time they could be using to do, you know, important things.
