the real winner is PC gamers.

In that there was no one to embarrass them, patronize them, or even acknowledge their existence?

yes. that exactly.

I mean I guess there's Battlefield 3. But they're also there for consoles.

I didn't quite understand why they demoed the same game six times

also you'd think nintendo would have made enough zelda games that they didn't need three years to make every new one

I'm okay with Zelda not being Megaman.

Speaking of Zelda, apparently the villian is David Bowie.

Speaking of Zelda, apparently the villianguy who'll be revealed to be just a puppet of Ganon all along is David Bowie.

C'mon, we all know how this works.

That doesn't even apply to half the games in the series.

Only in the ones where it actually is Ganon.

I liked that Nintendo brought their own orchestra. Classy. On the other hand, loads of talk about Zelda and music and not one mention of Koji Kondo.

Why is is so great when Miyamoto does the "YOU GOT A THIIIIIIING" pose but every other E3 presenter's attempt at humour was terrible?

So... Paper Mario 3DS

Joystiq seems to think it's a port, but a glance at the provided trailer pretty clearly indicates that it's a new game. Also? I'm buying the shit out of a 3DS.

My experience with 3DS suggests that that kind of 2D planing is the way to go with it.  The effect is too damned subtle otherwise.

In other words, Klonoa Dimensions or whatever godawful subtitling scheme is being used for the new handheld please.

Also FFTA3, where the characters are still all sprites.

It's good to see more details about that game, even if there's still not much.

Joystiq is dumb. We knew from E3 2010 that it couldn't be a port.

I really want this too.

The lamest part of Nintendo's E3 showing to me was that Animal Crossing and Paper Mario still have a "TBD" release date. Seeing as both games looked pretty damn good last year, I have to wonder if it's because they want to hold back some of their games for later.

At first I was like, "Oh, these are slightly unconventional character designs! The only character I've seen so far whose chest is significantly bigger than their head is the fighter!"

Then I was like, "DAT SORCRESS"
