I think I understand your reasoning for that vote, but do you want to expound on it so that I'm not making an incorrect assumption?

Actually Newbie, I just had a flash of inspiration, and it's because of your post in the midst of Kayma's non-posts:

I'm pretty convinced that a "no lynch" is only good for baddies, but man guys arguing is tiring.
Quote from: Everyone
No lynch!

Stop. Don't.

Verde

How is anyone getting any feelings on anyone at this point? Wish I hads me some o' that pree-cog-nishun.

Not wanting a lynch, though, that's a paddlin'.
Current standings:
No Lynch  - 4: jsnlxndrlv, Zach, Verde, Envy
Friend - 1: NexAdruin
Classic - 1: Nickasummers
Verde - 5: Kayma, LaserBeing, G, Joxam, Smiler
Kayma - 1: McDohl

Both Nex and Kayma made one-word vote posts, but while Nex's passed without any remarks that I noticed, Kayma's immediately got a bunch of bandwagoners. It's too easy to read things into a one-word vote: if Kayma's trying to set up his own innocence by voting for his teammate Verde, he can claim this was either a lucky guess, privileged information because of his "oracular powers", etc. If Kayma or Nex was ACTUALLY an oracle, I'd hope that person would have the good sense not to tip his hand so early by posting with (what is likely to be interpreted as) such an air of confidence.

I agree with Friday 100%, particularly on the point that the lynch is our weapon. It's how we kill bad guys. And seers occasionally, yes, but also bad guys.

It's also a fair point that VvsW Best Practices™ states that it is in the werewolves' favor to essentially help the innocents by eradicating the vamps ASAP. Just, you know, so long as they don't derp on the wereniku. Glad I never did that.

Staying on Verde. There's no magic behind this, just a hunch that I see no reason to ignore. Plus, his little defcon thing boils down to "You are either evil, or evilly quiet, or NexAdruin". That's... helpful.

The Smiler/Joxam thing I'm willing to take at face value here. If they end up being furbuddies or fangbros, I'm sure it will become apparent in the following days.

Kayma is looking as active as he needs to without actually pointing any fingers. In fact, he's basically calling everyone innocent. He sounds rational, concerned about killing an innocent, and otherwise generally NOT the way a bloodthirsty mob SHOULD sound. What do you say, Kayma? Don't you want to catch badguys? Why all the friending? Envy did a bit of that yesterday and look, he was a manbearpig! Why are you out to make buddies out of everyone? Why are you actively posting without accusing? I see you check the thread every real-day but you never seem to actually toss any mud. Why?

Newbie, upon re-reading your post, I agree with your logic 100% and now I'm a little pissed for not seeing what you meant at the time a little clearer.

I was suspicious at the time, but I hadn't noticed the degree of nonchalance Kayma was exhibiting. I'm torn; I want to vote for him, but the more I read his posts, the more plausible the "oracle with performance errors" story seems. I think Kayma and Verde are both suspicious to me for mutually exclusive reasons.

If I win the cloak, I'll let everyone know I took it. I've got nothing to hide. I expect the same from whoever wins the cloak.

This is a great policy if you're a weretiger, wolf, or thief. If an innocent announces that they have the cloak, this at once focuses the attention on them, for good or otherwise (do the evil teams turn this person, or not? should we preemptively lynch this person, or not?), and OFF of anybody else who might have been gaining suspicion more legitimately. I want to strongly encourage the person who won the cloak NOT to come forward.

They come forward and someone PI's them immediately, is the plan.

Sweet. Now we can investigate Nex. I will offer the PI nine gold so that if anyone wants to bid 10 they can, but it won't be absolutely necessary and the PI won't be tempted to pick someone else to investigate.

They come forward and someone PI's them immediately, is the plan.

That still doesn't stop the cloak from falling into evil hands. It can be stolen, turned, or if the holder is killed it can just be dug back up again. All this plan really accomplishes is putting a big fat bullseye on the cloak so the bad guys can get it without spending a thin dime.

Turning happens before PI, so turning me now would just be stupid. I might get turned Night 3, though.

No one died. This means that vampires either did a blind turn (unlikely because of the risks) or scried. Wolves either did a blind turn (also unlikely) or tried to kill someone who was protected.

I'm can't draw any immediate information from this conclusion.

Also we know the thief so don't even pull that shit Joxam because I will eat you.

It's not immediately relevant, but as soon as the Thief's Glove gets auctioned off, this will become hairy again.

Kayma did not speak a whole lot yesterday. After reading over guilds post, I think it is worth putting pressure on Kayma to speak to us.

In a game with Guild, how does anyone seem talkative?

Yesterday, I spoke out against the No Lynch because it's dumb. I voted for Verde because he jumped on the No Lynch, and I jumped onto Envy because he was a big dumb stinking monster.

Guild, I feel like you were trying to set me up yesterday, pointing out the other's musings that I might be an oracle. That's a good way to get an oracle killed, as I'm sure you are well aware. What, exactly, is your angle?

Guild didn't have the most posts last time I saw a count, for whatever that's worth.

Kayma, are you claiming oracle? I apologize profusely if you are. I will go back to hunting in other sculleries for manbearpires. Can you please tell me, are you the oracle?

Are you saying you ARE the oracle? Or the seer? You got onto Envy for being a monster. That's what you are saying here. Ok. I am onto you for making no sense and probably being a monster. Am I the oracle too, now? Wait, do you have to die first in order for me saying you're a monster to be a reason for voting you? I don't remember how this game works all of a sudden.
