Ugh. This kind of thing disgusts me. See, I consider the no lynch a completely legitimate option while Garrison doesn't even see it as an option on the table. Someone does not have to die on day one. Second, it's completely idiotic to vote for someone simply because other people are voting for them. Garrison, I would feel compelled to vote for you if I didn't feel like it would be a complete waste of time, since most people are already set on voting for Verde or Envy and I don't think I could convince enough people to change their votes to lynch you.

Okay, here's the logic behind it:

No lynch gives the bad guys progress and us zero. We gain literally nothing from not lynching. In a game where we need whatever information we can get to have a chance at winning, No lynch is not only a poor choice, but something I perceive as a pure, bad dude oriented move that just looks nice on the outside.

By choosing to lynch someone, we do risk the possibility of having a goodguy die, but we also get a firm grasp on where everyone stands in exchange. This is the information that we need to progress, the same information we'd be getting a whole day later if we choose not to do it now. Point is, I'd rather us start off strong the next day rather than on Day 3. Hell, there's always the slim chance that we might actually succeed and get someone with this lynch.

Granted, this is my first multifaction game and my first item-empowered game, but I'm pretty sure the logic still stands from the town perspective. Feel free to argue, yo.

I can see why you disagree with the no lynch, but I guess where I disagree is:

Okay, here's the logic behind it:

No lynch gives the bad guys progress and us zero. We gain literally nothing from not lynching. In a game where we need whatever information...

...By choosing to lynch someone, we do risk the possibility of having a goodguy die, but we also get a firm grasp on where everyone stands in exchange. This is the information that we need to progress, the same information we'd be getting a whole day later if we choose not to do it now.

Not lynching anyone doesn't neccessarily mean that we don't obtain information. For example, if everyone suddenly changed their minds today to a no lynch, I wouldn't say that we didn't learn anything. Despite how today turns out, we've still learned a ton of stuff that we didn't know before the day started. Plus, we don't have to lose the sacrificial innocent who will probably be lynched on day 1.

I'm a supporter of no lynch because killing off somebody for what is likely nebulous reasons ends up being a really poor move if we hang an innocent. Yeah, we'll be losing a guy to evils anyhow, but possibly losing two guys just to satisfy some vague suspicions won't get anybody anywhere.

However, there's no reason for me to be stubborn about it at this point. Envy.

And that's eight for Envy!

You kill him. He's stone dead. When you take off his pants to examine what kind of horrible monster he is, it's clear: he is a bearwolf.

Day 1 ends, night 1 begins. Let's see those night actions, people!

Ah Bongo. I came back from beer thinking I forgot to put in my vote for Verde and it turns out we can't remove our votes on this poll.

Please discount that vote that I gave to myself on the poll. I also wanted to try a test vote.

Why? I know just as much as you do. Is there something suspicious about what I said about Envy? If so, why not state what it is that's suspicious instead of just saying 'if Envy's inno, guild's guilty!' that makes no sense!

Because I'm shooting in the dark too.

The current poll is even more meaningless than usual, as it doesn't reflect what is happening tonight.

The Vamps are on vacation,
The Wolves are out of town.
The seer's got indigestion,
And I'm a fucking clown.

Oh Werewolf, sweet Werewolf,
I am stuck here waiting.
I'd rather be out playing golf,
Instead I'm masturbating.

Bongo Bill's the Moderator,
Friday's Envy's partner,
Bleck's a super Terminator,
(That or Envy's partner!)

Oh Werewolf, sour Werewolf,
I am stuck here moping.
I'd rather watch some television,
Instead I'm just crotch-groping.

Will this long night ever end?
I am losing faith!
In the morning I'll be dead,
Hope it was worth the wait!

Oh Werewolf, damn Werewolf,
I am stuck here fighting.
I'd rather have a less lame hobby,
But this is too exciting!

And now, to my dismay, the poll still won't let me change my vote and I want to vote for Guild.

The night is over. Looks like nobody died.

All three Auction House items were sold last night. Today, on Auction-O-Rama, we have these lovely gifts:

  • The Watcher: A single-use item that tells you who else targets your target with any night action.
  • The Auction House: Whoever owns this can specify a fourth item that they wish to be put up for sale, as well as earning an additional doubloon each day.
  • Assassin's Blade: This single-use item lets you kill somebody. No foolin'.
Since these items may be used manually, I wish to reiterate a sometimes-overlooked point of law: if you place a bid on a usable item, you may accompany with your bid an instruction to use that item immediately if you win it.

Everybody earned two more golds unless you heard otherwise, meaning that unless you already spent something or are the PI, you have twelve doubloons. You can get a current count of your wealth by asking me at any time.

With seventeen players alive, it still takes only eight votes to lynch your target. Additionally, there is an approximate 48-hour time limit starting from this post, which may be extended by 24 hours once per game per player.

Verde is still unavailable, as he warned us, so if he receives a majority vote, I will postpone the time limit until 24 hours after he returns. I ask all players to be accommodating of each others' schedules.

Well? What are you waiting for? It's Day 2.

I'm trying to allow changing votes in the poll, but, as before, the poll is meaningless and I will keep the official tally.

Thanks. Apparently I don't have the privileges to create a poll where the users can change their votes? Or else I'm just blind/stupid? Strange if true.

There's a little checkbox that says "Check this if you want people to be able to change their votes". It was there for me when I was a mod, so either something has changed or you're just not seeing it. *shrug*

The only check-box is the one that resets all the votes to 0 when you edit the poll. Maybe it's there if I remove the poll and create a new one. I'll find out later.
