Wow. I was this close to starting Acutane, but chickened out at the last second.

Write letters to distant friends. It will surprise them and encourage them to send you fun things!

I don't know if anyone could withstand that much sentai.

It would have to be chased with some Mystic Knights of Tir na Nog. Or Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, which I finished a few days ago.

Probably the same guy who thought it was a great idea to use Botulin for face-lifts.

Did you ever read the Song of Ice and Fire series?  They're really good and fairly long.

I have not! I'll put it on THE LIST now that I'm stuck in the hospital for another five days.

They found an infection in the PICC line they were using to feed me through the IV about a week back, and I've been back in The Big House ever since. In the meantime, I've managed to start eating solid food again and start gaining back some of the weight I lost, to the point we're actually able to schedule the surgery!

This Tuesday, folks, the first part of the surgery goes down. Then we're looking at several months of recovery, then part two, then several more months of recovery, then finally the last finishing touches. Honestly, just glad to be starting this.

I get to keep my rectum! Like a champ! Was quite happy about that.

But yes, more or less - they taking a portion of the large intestine they're removing, removing the ulcerated walls, and making a handy little pouch. Still going to have to deal with that external bag for the first part of the surgery, but it goes after the second. Just gonna roll with the punches on that one and hope the external pouch is not as deeply unpleasant as it sounds.
