http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?262756-MODS-Majic-s-Space-Marine-Mod-Workshop

The long and short of it is this:

Download the rar, drag the "preview" file into your space marine folder (The base folder. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\warhammer 40,000 space marine"). Once the preview folder is in there, you use the provided EXE shortcut in the same rar file ( "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\warhammer 40,000 space marine\spacemarine.exe" -usepreview ) and this will launch the game using the "preview" folder as an override to normal game assets.

If you want to get advanced, you can mix and match. For example, I took the Robotic arm from the Iron hands pack and added it to my Deathwatch character by just deleting the provided "larm" folder from the Deathwatch and putting the "larm" folder from the Iron hands. I haven't figured out how to do direct editing though - I'd like to get rid of the yellow behind the double eagle on the right shoulder.

Awesome most of these look pretty great. I'll try to get a upload of my current character soon. I had a tough choice between Death Company or Sanguinius.

I'm waiting for mod tools to be more developed where you can basically plug in what you want for each piece (Like multiplayer) and output a preview folder to stick in the directory.

Good for a laff: http://venturebeat.com/2011/05/25/how-many-ways-can-thqs-space-marine-game-rip-off-gears-of-war/

"The second I looked at THQ‘s Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine video game, I figured I had seen it before. The sci-fi game may be set in the fabled Warhammer universe, but the style and game play look so much like Gears of War that it’s embarrassing. ... Start with the over-sized armor and bodybuilder physiques of the marines. When you aim a gun in Space Marine, the target reticle is huge, just like the target reticle in Gears of War. The guns are huge and they feature a chainsaw blade that can be used to slice enemies in half, execution style, similar to the “chainsaw bayonet” of the Gears soldiers."

No point getting mad, since he's obviously an idiot.

There are actually two chainsword vs Nob executions. The other has the Nob doubled over and then decapitated.

No time to do research, I suppose. No incentive or reason either. I hope this was just a fan...

Depends on what kind of multiplayer your wanting. Exterminatus would be find a group of us. Otherwise just go through the ranked.

New DLC on the way. "Chaos Exterminatus mode" and maps and skins is basically how you can sum it up.

Quote
THQ today announced details of a new downloadable content pack for Warhammer® 40,000®: Space Marine® scheduled to release for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, Playstation®3 computer entertainment system, and Windows PC in December.

The premium add-on pack, which has a suggested cost of 800 Microsoft Points / £7.99, will include a new Exterminatus mode called Chaos Unleashed. In this update to the popular co-op mode players will take on the role of Chaos Space Marine as they take the fight to both the Ork horde and Imperial Guard forces. With brand new boss rounds, new co-op arenas and new enemy units like the Imperial Sanctioned Psyker this mode is a must-have for players looking for a new challenge.

As well as the Chaos Unleashed Mode, the Space Marine add-on pack also includes three new multiplayer maps Habs Ablaze, Station Tertius and Aquila Canyon which can be played in all multiplayer game modes. The pack will also include ten new achievements and trophies.

In addition to the premium add-on content all players of Space Marine will receive a new multiplayer Capture the Flag Mode for free. Playable on all the game’s multiplayer maps, this team based mode challenges players to defend their flag while attempting the capture their opponent's.

Jim Huntley, Vice President of Global Brand Management commented, "Space Marine offers a robust multiplayer experience out of the box but the addition of new maps, modes and challenges should keep the community playing for months to come."

Alongside this add-on content THQ will be releasing a number of new player skins for sale on the Xbox LIVE® online entertainment network, Playstation® Network and STEAM. Players will be able to purchase unique Salamanders, Alpha Legion, Legion of the Damned and Blood Angel skin packs for a suggested price of 240 Microsoft Points / £2.39 each.

The Space Marine add-on pack is scheduled to be available to purchase on Xbox 360, Playstation®3 and Windows PC in December.

Chaos Exterminatus mode out! It's $9.99. There's also a bunch of skin packs, but none are really exciting. Alpha Legion, Legion of the Damned, Salamanders..

Meh, I'll wait until it's on sale. Probably Steam Spring(?) Sale.
