Having played them in reverse I wouldn't say that SR2 is a better game.  I can definitely understand why series vanguards would be annoyed by all the stuff that's missing, but the overall quality of life improvements are so great that going back to SR3 for the DLC stuff felt like soaking in a cool bath after spending too much time out in the sun.

Aaaaand they reference Carlos in the first minute of the game and basically say "There won't be any of that."  So there you go.

Once you gain the ability to access the radio, turn it to The Mix

You will never want anything else.

Yeah, agreed. I think SR2 is probably a better game than SR3, but that's definitely not because of the story missions or plot progression.

Well duh

It's because of the easy listening station.

For better or worse, SR4 was designed with wacky in mind from the start.  I'm just hoping that doesn't mean I'm railroaded into driving around in some fucking unicorn-shaped car instead of a sensible bright-purple lamborghini.

It means if you're good with the controls you can get a gold medal in insurance fraud using just one car.

This game is seriously fun enough that I haven't finished the tutorial missions yet and have 25% completion. You can literally fling your ragdolled body around the map from fight arenas to platforming 'puzzles' to control point capturing without manually starting any of the activities. Making chaos flow pretty flawlessly.

I did appreciate the irony of Johnny Gat complaining his gang has been reduced to crass comercialism, then immediately dying and having his head plastered on every bobblehead doll for sale.

I'm having trouble distinguishing between my SR4 character and Madam President from Dr. McNinja.

The Boss is slightly more socio/psychopathic.

Bummed around in Brentai's world for like fifteen minutes. Both co-op games are disappointing and ultimately come down to who RNG feels better about.

You also lose all weapons and powers that the host has yet to unlock, so anyone who was getting super OP and hoping to start raining nuclear death in new player world will be as disappointed as me, because that was exactly my plan.

I'm probably the only person disappointed that instead of being Neo in the matrix that the game didn't end up being Saints Row 4: Metal Wolf Chaos.

Finished at 91%.  I'll probably go for that last 9% later because, you know, it's right there.

There are few games I would pay full price for or be happy about having paid full price for.  Saints Row IV is one of those games.

Apparently, digging through the game files, IdolNinja has found a character flag called "Velociraptor".  Activating the Velociraptor flag on a character allows you to mount and ride them.

This might mean something about cut content.  It might mean something about upcoming DLC.  But it means something.

Do you understand how terrifying the words “vibrating strap on” are for an asexual? That’s like saying “the holocaust” to a Jew.

Sitting at 99%.  The last challenge is "ride an alien vehicle for 2,500,000 feet" which would take 3-4 straight hours of doing absolutely nothing.  Gonna wait for the next patch to see if someone realized there's one too many zeros in that number.

Nice shot.

Also: I think this is the first time I've actually ever looked forward to DLC.  Mainly because I'm really, really hoping they put in more of that minigame.

Quote from: People also pissed about that
The player-accessible area is 2048x2048x512m. The flight achievement is around 762000 m. The <VOID> maxes out at 140 ft/sec (just under 43 m/sec), meaning that assuming you do literally nothing else and never crash or hit the edge of the player area it takes five hours to fill that bar.
