I can see how she might bumble in such a way as to further the goals of the Mythic Dawn ("the heir's hiding in this cupboard, sir, why did you want to know?"), but unless she's speaking in Mehrunes Dagon's ears I doubt one could make her responsible for the oblivion crisis.
The comic is a prequel, but the prequel to Katia's story, not The Champion of Cyrodiil.
I dunno, seems to me like like Katia's story began on that pier in Anvil.
It really feels like this is setting up the events that lead to the beginning of the game. Katia's just the unlucky type to accidentally/drunkenly annoy the wrong person and be tossed in jail, and there was the nightmare, too. "You are the one from my dreams." Uriel dreams of her, and she dreams of Uriel, massively prominent Amulet of Kings and all. Would she even know that it was significant? Baurus says everyone thinks it's the crown that is important, but in fact "that's just jewelry". She got the garbage fireball spell every PC starts with, she's gonna get the crappy heal spell too, then she's gonna meet Captain Picard and accept to close shut the jaws of Oblivion as a final test of the new person she'll have become. It's almost
too fitting.
I didn't expect to see any of the events of Oblivion going down from her point of view. But well, she does seem to be hinting pretty heavily towards bad times at Kvatch.
Well, we're probably gonna find out before long!
