If the wolves didn't know each other, it would make sense for them not to vote for anyone.

Alternatively, there could be two serial killers and no wolves. I was going to suggest three at first, but that would make for a very quick game indeed.

Classic, my VERY FIRST thought when I read my role was "the bads arent wolves" but I dismissed that idea because that would make my role utterly worthless. But now I am wondering. If they arent wolves, he didnt technically lie to me, and that would make me our handicap.

Last game I was looking for a serial killer that didn't exist.

There's only 8 of us. If that power hit a wolf, they'd have no reason not to rat out their compatriots, considering their win condition changes nicely. I'll bet there are three wolves who don't actually know each other, lest this game be semi broken.

What if their win condition didn't change? What if it just made them unable to bite and talk to the other wolves?

Then what good is it?

Hey, I shaved you. You're still a wolf if you were a wolf. Are you a wolf?

"Uhh... no?"

Well, fuck.

I'm thinking the shave can probably still talk to their wolfy comrades but they count as innocent as far as voting goes? So they add to the innocents numbers while being on the wolves' team. That's how I'd do it.

Something Envy said struck me as peculiar but I'm still trying to decide whether that's Envy being Envy or Envy being evil.

Envy said something earlier that struck me as 'off' but I'm really trying to give him the benefit of the doubt since he always jumps down my throat.

Have you come to a decision yet on whether you want to share with us what Envy said that you found suspicious?

---

If Nickasummers' bolding of my name is not counted as voting for me in the next votecount, then I'm inclined to believe that he's not completely making his role up.

Why not?

I'm not a wolf neither do I have a super cool role.

Combined with the rare posting and the fact he hasn't said much in his posts, it strikes me as trying too hard not to be noticed.

Nex and Lottel have good points about the potential meaning behind my role. I am inclined to think it is at least somewhat beneficial to us, but its technically possible caith was a wolf and is lying to us. So we know less than i thought we would.

So if you shaved all of the wolves they'd no longer be able kill at night, but would would still be able to win by guiding the lynches? I dunno, sounds a bit too convoluted to me.

No, if they win with wolves but count as innocents, shaving all of them would mean innocents win because the number of "wolves" would be 0

I wouldn't put it past Guild to encourage players to lie. It would be high-larity if turning for the alpha bad was a daytime ability activated by saying, "I SHAVE SO AND SO".

I hadn't even thought of that and now I am really disappointed in the fact that I am innocent.

Votecount 5 - Day 1

Kayma - 1 - (NexAdruin)
Classic - 1 - (Caithness)
Caithness - 2 - (Lottel, Classic)
NexAdruin - 1 - (Kayma)

With 8 alive it's 5 to lynch.

Or Nicka could be the Wolf Barber, with the real ability to turn his teammates into town, but absolutely no reason to want to do so. That would be pretty funny too.

These are all distinctly Guild possibilities.

Consider the devil role of VvW. It is a role that benefits from eventually dying (although it's usually nice to put off the death). It's also a role that Guild has some experience playing. The shaving would turn a wolf into a non-scrying devil, basically.

How does dying benefit the Devil? I just checked the rules for Vampires vs. Werewolves, and it looked like the Devil was just a seer who is also a wolf.

Caith and Nex had a reasonably quick back-and-forth about the whole thing. Which maybe gave Guild time to confer with Caith about the role change.

Alternately, Caith could have stayed in lying mode.
Or...
They're in totes cahoots.

I'm no longer confident about my guesses in any case.

He's not a wolf, though. He's a human who has the wolves' win condition. In fact, at the start of the game, the devil doesn't even know who his teammates are.

They only benefit by dying if hey "count" as an innocent... as is, I believe, the case with the Devil. So yeah, ok, I get that.
