Dammit Brentai, just succumb to peer pressure already. You can quit whenever you want to anyway, so what's the harm in trying once?

Bongo Bill, Lottel, Stush, Doom, Beat Bandit and Büge are in. Possibly room for one more. I'll get to work on some setting information you can use to build your characters. Generally speaking, any official content is okay. Don't be afraid to "re-skin" content to fit the setting or a character concept. Grab a copy of the D&D character builder if you don't want to make a character by hand.

Setting background document is here:
Players' Campaign Notes.

The short version: The Kingdom of Rynwold is a unification of several territories, which were held by different religious factions around 200 years ago. In Rynwold, faith is power. Every class power source, from divine to martial, comes from one deity or another, and the player characters are among those lucky enough to be favoured by one of the gods.

When you create your character, pick a deity from the Campaign Notes. As a follower of that deity, you gain the listed bonus feat. Alternatively, you can pick one of the standard D&D deities or invent your own.

Likewise, you can use the other background information in the setting as the basis for a character, or just invent your own and I'll slot it in somewhere.

Regular points-buy or array as per the character builder. If you don't have either the character builder or the points buy rules handy, one of the following arrays will work too:

16,14,14,11,10,10
18,14,11,10,10,8
16,16,12,11,11,8

What's points buy? Is that just like you have a certain number of points, and as the numbers get higher, they cost more points or something like that?

I feel like being a Warlock, Heal-Bot or Tank because I've had 3 character personality ideas for those.

I might roll all three and see which I/my teammates like best, but I figure I'd throw out that I'm willing to do either of the "Big Two" roles for 4e. Maybe see what you guys were planning to make.

I was debating between two or three myself but then I decided to just wait and see what was needed.

Hey JD you have two gods of Trickery, which one were you referring to in your first post in this thread? The Darkness or Seria?

I was planning to be a healbot cleric but between Doom's similar thoughts and Brentai's expressed desire to try something more pacifistic I think that would unbalance the party a bit. I'll yield to them and roll up a Monk worshipping Amethyst as specified in JD's campaign notes.

Doom: The Darkness. Seria is more mischievious than evil.

Even if I do get taken off the bench, I reserve the right to show up as a roid-raging barbarian without warning or explanation.  That's just how I roll.

Hey, I just had 3 ideas that included Heal-bot. I'm leaning towards the Warlock myself.

Seems like, as (other) BB said lots of people want to go heals or support, so leaning away from tiefling bard and towards drow rogue.

At first I was looking at two-fisted shooter for sword / crossbow. Now I'm thinking about going dual dagger and daring performer to play into beguiling enchantment.

^ Bards own. Be a Bard. My healer idea was Dwarf Bard but...

Ah screw it I'm gonna be the Warlock since half of you are already being conscientious.

Hmmm, I was considering being a bard or a fighter.

But it looks like we may not need a bard(?)

I got bored and was fiddling with the character builder and... well...

I made a zombie slaying gravedigger.

Sorry. But I can change it. Lemme know.

EDIT: Hell, technically he can function the same even if I move the classes around. Numbers change only slightly, so yeah!

I don't really know what class I want to use, I have the character all sort of set out in my head, I just need my paypal payment to go through so I can check the classes and stuff on the website.
