I'm super happy about the success rate I've been having with what was originally a joke build.

Right
Lightening Cestus +5 / Thorolund Talisman
Left
Chaos Cestus +5 /  Ascended Pyromancer's Flame +5
Spells
Tranquil Walk of Peace / Force / x2 Great Combustion

Allows for heavier armor than a fully armed character and still the mobility to get around people easily. Which is good since pushing off ledges is your best bet with it for fatties with any ability.

Oh, I finally finished Dark souls a few days ago! It was awesome, I should have prepared better for new game +, really, but I was a bit burned out and just wanted to finish the game.

It was good that I did, all my frustration sort of faded away once I passed it.

Mmm.. Force is much too short-range. Even though WoG is old hat, a base 3 shot blast is good for pushing and damaging.

Ever really wonder why Andrei is camping out right above the Titanite Demon?

Guy has to get his Titanite Shards from somehwere, every so often he goes down and dropkicks some off the demon.

So I've been watching youtube videos again to help get back after the Dragon's Dogma break.

EWGF's videos are must watch for anyone doing PVP ever.

Not only is it great attacker and defender shots of everything from the basics to advanced tactics and mechanics of PVP, but there were some tips I didn't even know about.

I keep getting this feeling that we will get blamed for making things worse/all our fault to begin with in the DLC.

Where did you hear this? I haven't seen any indication of that.

The steam page for Dark Souls says the DRM is GFW live. Whether or not it's available on steam is irrelevant; GFW DRM is terrible.

Dark Souls will only support upscaling beyond 720p.

Basically the shittiest possible way to port a game.

GFWL is the oldest of old news. The rest is no surprise because From Software has (and they've said this) never ported a game to PC, and are doing it very quickly for what needs to be done. The success of this port is very much the future of better PC ports from the company, or any PC ports from the company, in the future. I mean, they're doing it entirely based on fan demand for a PC port, and giving the extra content to the PC first, so maybe cut them some slack.

Just for the record, on the front of GFWL, their multiplayer is incredibly fucking complicated to begin with, and they already have it working on the Live framework. I do not begrudge them to decision to not reinvent that fucking wheel.

If you don't even get the option to preload at all, try entirely closing and restarting the Steam client; I think it only checks for preload availability when it does the initial connection. If the problem is that you've already started the preloading process but you're not getting any data, or something else entirely, I don't know what to tell you. :nyoro~n:

EDIT: welp ok that's weird

It was gonna be out mid-evening, then at 4 AM, but I'm posting this while it's unlocking and Steam is checking DirectX and such.

In other news a dude on NeoGAF found a way to get higher resolutions than 1024x720. It took him a few weeks to prepare the tools in advance but once he got his hands on the game it took him 23 minutes to change it. Right now apparently it's only tested in the very beginning and there's no guarantee it won't cause problems down the line so the patch isn't available for download yet.

...welp, it just launched, see yaaaaaaa

I feel like I just prepared for a hotdog eating contest by not eating for a month.

Capra down and fuck the beginning of the depths because I know I will break something over the torch hollows.

Very nice news but I can't shake the feeling that the new content will have a 'Don't try to change the past or you'll get screwed over' theme to it.

Someone has already released a quick trainer for infinite souls. It is getting harder and harder to decide on getting this on PC.

I probably will in the end because I already listed my copy on ebay :V
