Rudy Giuliani asks the unemployed why don't they just get a job.

Herman Caine has a new friend. Can we collect these?

And in approximately 3 days he'll blame Obama for a lack of jobs without an iota of cognitive dissonance just like every other conservative pundit.

Oakland PD lacerates Army Ranger's spleen, denies him medical treatment for 18 hours.  Just like a Tea Party rally!

Heard on NPR this morning that the Oakland PD carries wearable cameras.  Which throws the question of what the fuck they could possibly be thinking into even sharper relief.

(Presumably they're thinking "If we get sued, we can stall until the claimant gives up."  This thinking, however, should have gone out the window after the FIRST war vet they cracked open.  This shit's not going to go away, and even their best option, to "lose" the footage, is going to turn out badly for them.

So maybe what they're thinking is "Fuck it, I can shoot an unarmed man in the back and the worst I'll get is involuntary manslaugher."  But again, guys -- that shit's not going to work if the guy turns out to be an Army Ranger.

So I guess what they're thinking is actually "This bearded Arab-looking guy with a funny name is probably not an Army Ranger.")

Occupy Atlanta Encamps In Neighborhood To Save Police Officer’s Home From Foreclosure

Among the other feel-good aspects of this story, it's nice to be reminded that, Oakland notwithstanding, the police are not our enemy.  "We are the 99%" is, by its nature, a message of inclusion; we're on the same side.

Joe Walsh has screaming match with constituents, tells them to "stop blaming banks"

Quote
I am passionate about our freedom, fighting for taxpayers, and standing up against big government.

Except when it's banks, then woah guys, cut it out! My task-masters might get mad!

That's three terrible people so far.

Wait, wait, lemme see if I can Google an old favorite...

GOP Congressman only has $400,000 to scrape together after his taxes!

Christ! This poor guy!

Well he is right inasfar as banks are only one entity responsible for this current mess.  We should really start taking to task others who have shirked their responsibilities to the economy too.  Like, you know, congresspeople.

Congresspeople at least have the opposition to yell at them. There ain't such a thing as a anti-bank radio show, except possibly when Ron Paul is around.

I disagree

Occupy Cal 11/9/11

Occupy Boston

In reality, these aren't uncommon, and a Google Search for Occupy Police Raid brings up a lot of results from cities all over.

Here in North Texas, police have been sending homeless people to Occupy Dallas with the purpose of arresting them to make the movement look bad. And Occupy Fort Worth had a big bust up when police stole tents and arrested people.

It's true that police are working men and women just like everyone else. But they're working men and women whose job it is to make sure that the rest of the working men and women in the world don't get out of line. As long as they have the clubs, the tear gas, the rubber bullets, the riot gear and the guns, they are our enemy.

"A fair chance for everyone (except the police)" isn't a very inspiring message.

Acting like police are the enemy is about as self-fulfilling as you can hope to get.

I dunno. If anything, the occupy protests have been showing just how much power has been put into the hands of the police since 9/11.

Two-way street.

I'm the first guy to talk about post-9/11 government overreach, but I don't think that's got anything to do with the Oakland situation.  That shit's straight out of the 1960's.

Wouldn't a fair position be that the Police are free to join the 99% in protest, so long as they stop uh, literally beating and arresting people on behalf of their banker overlords?

The Police don't have to be enemies but the ball is in their court.
