"Right, that's a good idea, Grandfather," Briar nods. "Vivi, Ampersand? Anything to add?"

Ampersand is already asleep on the most grand of beds in the building.

Vivi shrugs. It seems not getting in trouble was the most important... and only priority on her mind.

I'm going to be exceptionally busy until Thursday or Friday, so please wait until then for me to get back to things.

(Back!)

Heavy drum beats strike outside as orcs join in a boisterous, almost musical chant. Hundreds of orcs cheer loudly in the cold night air as huge bonfire in the middle of camp catches fire. They break open kegs of ale and dance to the drum beat with wild swinging arm movements. It seems the festivities have already begun.

In another part of camp, it appears that the entrance to the White Tower is now completely unguarded.

It seems that interest in this campaign is waning. Shall we take a break? I can always fill in with something else.

I'm down for a break if others are, but I think we're just not sure where to start right now.

Personally I'm considering this more of Briar's leg of the campaign and waiting for Buge's input. After going on Ampersand tangents in the last parts that didn't really end up anywhere I'm trying to keep things streamlined. Of course that means outside of halls of treasure or immediate danger there isn't much in character motivation to not just sleep and eat until the next group of Orcs tries to start shit.

Not really part of the party yet, since we haven't yet had occasion to discover the link between us. It's really Buge's show here.

So where the hell is Buge?

Briar peers out the door to see that the feast had begun. "Right. It looks like the tower is unguarded. I know we're all in a feasting mood right now, but I don't think we'll get a better opportunity than this to tackle that tower. We can't let whatever secret or truth get into the hands of a murdering maniac like Kalor. Leave whatever you don't need here. Hey, what happened to that kobold?"

Francisca nods. "If we do it sneakily, we'll lose a lot less people than if we have all these guys charge the tower. And it's a nice way to score some hero points with the tribe. I just hope they don't feel annoyed afterwards."

"He ran off," Gus announces. "He's hiding, but he's not too good at it. Why?"

"They can be as annoyed as they want after we hand 'em Kalor's head on a pike," Briar says confidently. "And I figured the Kobold could live here and keep this place tidy if he wanted a warm place to sleep and a plate of beans, or whatever Kobolds eat." She shrugs.

(Blah Blah east coast, blah blah hurricane, blah blah power outage. If I vanish for a week, you can figure out why.)

Vivi cannot resist a party or a feast and feels emboldened by the fact that the head Orc Guy didn't eviscerate her for Public Magicking. She sneaks away from the others to eat a lot of food and see if they card youths for the ale.

(Continuing on!)

The entrance to the White Tower is a massive set of engraved wooden double doors, tall enough for a giant to pass through. The tower reaches high into the night sky, and is unlit. One of the big doors is slightly ajar, just wide enough for a person to squeeze through.

Inside, stairs that seem built for giant's feet spiral upward into the tower and downward into an underground dungeon. Both are unlit, but an occasional clanking or scraping noise echoes faintly from downstairs.

Surely the other party members will shoulder their way into the party, comically stop Vivi right before she tries some ale, and drag her along to this vital and necessary dungeon crawl.
