(back, sorry for the delay)

The mist swirls toward the middle of the cavern and begins to take the form of a ghostly creature the size of a large dog. The receding fog reveals a half-dozen dead bodies, and perfectly preserved along with what weapons and armour they had.

As the twig blights swarm you, the mist takes the recognizable form of a dragon. Its scales are flat and angular like rocks, and its form is a translucent purple, like amethyst gemstone.

Two rush Francisca, leaping and clawing with sharp wooden talons. Another shoots off some kind of poison dart from its body, whizzing past the stalactite and striking Francisca in the leg.

Francisca takes 10 damage and 5 poison damage.

Three twig blights rush at Briar while one shoots a poison dart. The dart misses, while two of the twig creatures make it past Briar's defences and score a hit.

Briar takes 10 damage.

The ghostly dragon hovers forward and bites at Francisca. It only lands a glancing cut, but the ghost's unnatural presence drains her strength.

Francisca takes 2 damage.
Francisca takes ongoing 5 psychic damage (save ends).

Ampersand and Pitamaha are still making their way through the tunnels. They'll appear at the start of the round after this one.

Ampersand and Pitamaha, roll either Perception or Arcana each.

Ampersand: You spot the fire rune trap on the wall at the entrance as you approach (it's the ? on the map). It looks safe enough to crawl under, or you can disarm it with a DC15 Thievery check, but that'll take an extra standard action.

Either way, you and Pitamaha will appear anywhere adjacent to the ? square in the following round (but not this round).

Francisca, Vivi and Briar to take their turns.

Francisca grits her teeth and jerks a bit in pain as energy from the psychic attack arcs through her head, she backs off a few steps towards Vivi.

Trying to get her bearings before deciding what to do, She quickly blasts herself with an ardent surge. [Heals 11 HP, gives her +1 to attacks and defences until the end of the next turn]

She decides to see if the dragon can hear her. "You, the dragon, can you hear me? Can you talk?" But instead of waiting for a reply, she points towards it and closes her eyes. A thin beam of light seems to pierce through the roof of the cave, focussed on the dragon, rapidly expanding and blasting the area with radiant energy, it fills the cave with soothing light. [Song of the new dawn, 16 damage, Is that halved by the dragon's power? I'll write it as 8 damage for now]

Francisca looks around with a smile, "Looks like the sun's on our side of this battle now, friends.", She takes a moment to try calm herself and dissipate the psychic energy attacking her mind. [Got a 20 on my saving roll, does that mean I transfer it onto the dragon?]

The bright light wounds the ghostly dragon especially well! It takes a further 5 damage, but that's halved, so 2 damage. Its stats are now as follows:

D  Ghost dragon: HP42 F18 R18 W20, resist 5 psychic, necrotic, vulnerable 5 radiant
INSUBSTANTIAL: Takes half damage from all sources

Vivi still to move.

Vivi skips up to this point(passing through Fran to avoid AoOs), throws a half-eaten apple at the Dragon's snout(minor to Curse) then violently explodes in a bunch of untyped energy! Hits twig i for the kill and misses twig j. I can meet the Dragon's Fort of 18 if we consider it the closest enemy for my Prime Blast(+1 to closest target), since I'm using a Close Burst 1 against the 3 enemies that are all one square away from me.

The ghost dragon struggles to move from the spot, but it's completely pinned down. It opens its jaws and breathes a wide fan of ghostly blue flames at Francisca, barely missing Briar, and rolling on to catch Vivi despite her concealment.

Francisca takes 11 psychic damage, ongoing 5 psychic damage (save ends), and is dazed (save ends).
Francisca is bloodied.
Vivi takes 11 psychic damage, ongoing 5 psychic damage (save ends), and is dazed (save ends).

A single save ends both conditions.

Dazed: While a creature is dazed, it doesn’t get its normal complement of actions on its turn; it can take either a standard, a move, or a minor action. The creature can still take free actions, but it can’t take immediate or opportunity actions. It also grants combat advantage and can’t flank.

The twiglets rush forward, clambering over the bodies on the floor. Four surround a dazed Francisca, some running straight through the ghost dragon to reach her, and two charge Briar while another hangs back and throws a poison twig dart.

Rothdar is looking out for Francisca! All four twig blights fail to hit her.

The dart misses Briar. One of the twig blights hits.

Briar takes 5 damage.

PCs' turn. (Ampersand and Pitamaha, you appear this round on your turn at a square of your choosing, either on the ? square or any square adjacent.)

Vivi is lit on fire! She screams and flails her arms wildly and pats at the fire on her, which crazily enough seems to work as she gathers everything up in a ball in her hands, blows into it to tinge it delicious red apple, and throws it back at the Ghost Dragon! It collides and explodes violently in accordance with Vivi's theme today(apple explosions) and harshly debuffs it for -5 Attack until the end of her next turn, as well as inflicting a halved 8 fire damage! The scent of fresh baked apple pie fills the caverns as a rotten apple core bonks the Dragon to serve as a symbol of the Curse. She raspberries the dragon as these shenanigans have successfully saved against the effects of the dragon's breath after she takes her own 5 damage from the ongoing. Fight fire with fire? More like... better fire! Nyah!

Ampersand moved in ahead of Pitamaha and the light he carried and decided to use it to his advantage. Moving into the corner and pretending to be a rock with a crossbow he fires a bolt off at the nearest treeghost and hopes can get through to one of the others if he angles it right, but realizes he doesn't actually know how ghosts work. Or trees really.

Francisca realises that she might need to back off for a bit when it nearly feels like her head explodes, so she moves back beside the door they came through, leaning against the wall and closing her eyes, trying to get her thoughts back under control. Unfortunately not succeeding this time.

INTERRUPT: Francisca takes opportunity attacks from h, c and j. (Dazed, she can only take the one move action, and that provokes attacks of opportunity.) One hits.

Francisca takes 5 damage.

Players' turn continues as normal with Pitamaha left to take his turn. He can start his turn on the question mark or any adjacent square including diagonally adjacent.

"Hold! Wait, I say!" cried Pitamaha, stumbling through the entrance to the chamber. "This darkness confoundeth my old eyes. Great Amethyst, what hath happened here?" He stooped next to Francisca, and elevated and compressed the bleedingest of her injuries. (First Aid to grant a saving throw: Heal DC 15: 1d20+10 = 20, a success! Francisca may immediately make a saving throw.)

[Tried the saving roll, got a 1]

Francisca looks down at Pitamaha, as she's slumped against the wall. "Hey there.." SHe coughs a bit. "Seems I screwed up."

She looks upwards. "I can barely think straight anymore.. P-Probably won't last much longer."

The dragon glares at Francisca. You feel an odd sense of clarity...

The dragon switches targets and hovers toward Briar, trailing a mist behind it. Its claws pass through Briar's armour and slash her chest. One crit! And one regular hit, even with Vivi's -5 penalty.

Briar takes 9 damage.
Briar is bloodied.
Briar takes 12 damage.

Three twig blights swarm around Briar, surrounding her on all sides. One hits!

Briar takes 5 damage.

The remaining two twigs attack Vivi, one charging. Both hit!

Vivi takes 10 damage.
Vivi is bloodied.

Francisca: The dragon issues a telepathic command into your mind: "Attack the orc." You only have a standard action that turn even if you aren't dazed, and you must use it to attack Briar.

PCs' turn.
