I'll vote for Clark, since Bennings appears to have fallen off the face of the research station.

I'm still here, I've just been waiting to see what other people are thinking about doing.  Since most of the station is already ready to take up Clark's offer, I can use the test elsewhere.  I'll throw my vote on Clark, since he seems to have something to prove.

And why don't we just go ahead and find out what Childs is doing, since I have this red hot needle right here?

Hey, Benny. Any reason not to test yourself? Just asking.

I already know I'm innocent and proving it to you would make me the most likely turn-and-burn tonight.  Testing someone else out of self-preservation seems the safer move.  Sucks to be Childs?

Bennings.

If we have a shaky feeling about him later, there's always more tests.

Wow, that bandwagon sure formed quickly. Have three or four of the Things just revealed themselves?

I'm being bandwagoned for making the smart call?  Wooooo.

It'd be smarter to use the test on Clark, who has basically challenged us for some reason.

herp derp I forgot to add a poll

remember, the poll is only there to make it easier to keep track of votes for everyone

votes still do not count unless you post in the usual bolding manner

but please remember to add/change your vote to the poll once you've changed it in the thread

Statistically, using the wire on someone other than yourself is usually going to be the smart call for finding the original things. Bennings playing the I DON'T WANT TO DIE OBVIOUSLY I WOULD card is not a smart call.

If he's innocent, he's very unlucky for failing to find a Thing.

you have to have a pretty damn good reason to refuse to self-test, and Bennings did not have one.  If the Things are smart they'll keep suspicion on Bennings and maybe turn him or maybe not AND JUST MAKE US ALL GO FUCKIN CRAZY

My argument was not meant as "I don't want to die".  It was meant as: I am innocent and know it, whether you all do or not.  Proving that only paints a damned target that means you'll have to test me again later, wasting precious tests.  It would be way more beneficial to find a Thing than to verify anyone at this point in the game, because it's an assimilation game, not a murder game, so innocent verification is kinda useless.  Test me tonight and find out I'm innocent, and we have more Things tomorrow.  I didn't test myself because I'm more interested in outing Things than verifying my innocence, but I guess the smart play isn't what you guys were after.

Yes, Childs was a stab in the dark, but only as much so as any other test I ran, EXCEPT one on myself, which had a zero percent chance of Thinginess.  I'm sticking with my vote to test Clark for being all suspicious early on, but I know how bandwagons roll, and you guys will not likely listen to reason here.

You know, I was generally in agreement about self-testing not being the best move when you've got the wire, but I think you're starting to protest too much. Maybe I was wrong.

I guess we'll find out. Bennings

Bennings' blood shrieks and skids away as you dip the wire into it.

Bennings is a Thing.

Night roles.
