I haven't actually played Skyrim yet so no not really.

Caius and Traven both come off as Templar types to some degree, and Caius has... quite a lot of dirty laundry to go with it.  Like most non-enemy characters, they don't come off as bad per se, just flawed enough to not be the sort of obnoxious Good Guy archetypes that somehow managed to be fucking everywhere in Fallout 3.

I think I blame the karma systems for this - Fallout 3 had a karma system that went from -100 to 100 Good, and TES has a karma system that goes from 0 (Neutral) to infinite Evil.  NPCs are generally made to inhabit some point on those ranges so you don't feel like the only shithead/non-shithead in the world.

The Giant's are actually pretty peaceful, solitary guys. They only get angry when you invade their territory or mess with their mammoths.

Giants antagonize peaceful settlements. They can come up as bounties for blocking roads and attacking travelers, there's the event one you see the Companions whacking at a farm near Whiterun, and
giants attack an Orc settlement after taking over a Daedric Prince shrine for one of the Prince quests.
Percius Mercius from the Fighter's Guild, Gentleman Jim Stacey, any of the Twin Lamps... I could make an argument for Master Aryon and Divayth Fyr, but really, they're just the most level-headed immortal power-mad sorcerers in a house of immortal power-mad sorcerers.

I wanted to arrest or steal from the thiefs guild, but ended up being the leader. That blows. It kinda sucks that the game isnt really that sandbox-ish. Trying to kill someone only to find out you cant finish them, is not a good method. When the initiator for the thieves guild asked me to steal and plant a ring on another guy, i tried planting it on him: nothing happened.
Ah well, at least my plan for murdering the dark brotherhood worked.

*subject break*

I like Mjoll, the Lioness. She's one of the few people that don't sound like dicks. She has a boyfriend. I married her anyway.

Dick balance restored.

I have a policy of not joining any organization that has tried to have me executed. That rules out the Imperials and the Assassin's Guild.

They've been trying to kill me for a long time now. No clue who exactly I've pissed off. But basically the first thing I did as a free citizen of Skyrim was interfere in a love triangle. Whoops.

I saved and checked out a werewolf form. My damage output seems a little low.
I also decided to see if I could deal with a giant and got a bird's eye view of White River.

Harry Partridge is so boners for Skyrim it isn't even funny anymore. I think that's his third (fourth?) video about it now.

Not that I want him to stop

I'd totally watch that.

The first couple videos were such ringing product endorsements that I have to assume that someone was paying him for them.  Now it's just kind of his thing I guess?
