Also Heavy Armor's apex perk, melee reflection is slightly better. Assuming it's not bugged? It claims you reflect back 10% of incoming hits (dunno what that means!) instead of dodging 10% for the light armor perk.

It means it works like the old reflect damage, in that 10% of the damage from the enemies attack is applied to the enemy. At that point though, you probably take so little damage that the effect would be barely noticeable.

Heavy Armor doesn't remove sound and the way you can abuse smiting means you can improve light armor to the level of heavy armor anyway.

But if you can smith light armour as good as to heavy armour, can't you smith heavy armour even better than that?

Skyrim wikis claim you can remove the Sneak drawbacks entirely, but they tend to post rumours and guesses as fact, so I'm suspicious.

There's a limit to how much protection armor gives you, so even if you still see the numbers rising for a legendary heavy armor you probably passed the limit long ago and it doesn't provide better protection anymore.

It's not entirely obvious since the armor rating numbers in skyrim are there to obscure the fact, but it still basically works like it did in oblivion and you can probably only get up to 80% or 85% damage reduction. There's an alteration armor spell that gives you 80% damage reduction too.

The real answer is that you need to go up the Heavy Armor path to forge the best weapons anyway.

The ass end of Light Armor goes like Elven -> Glass -> Dragon and you can't make Dragon weapons(what the fuck) and Ebony/Daedric are stronger than Glass weapons sooooooooo tough shiiiiiiiit.

Alternatively where's a mod that fixes this retarded set-up.

I don't know, that seems like a good setup, light armor is better than heavy armor anyway and having the weapon drawback seems like the only thing heavy armor has going for it. Also punching.

It's stupid because I didn't roll a rogue so that I'd be forced to take 5 perks for Heavy Armor just to get new tiers of Daggers/Bows.

You can't even claim to just find them in the wild because you need the perks for upgrading them as well.

Well yeah, that kinda sucks, but like I said, that's the only thing heavy armor has going for it.

I read and can confirm that both glass and daedric are better than dragon. They are better because the (daedra heart and malachite) ingredients are rare.

Abusing smithing is a mistake. The game catches up to that and you'll get raped by mages and creatures you cant damage.

Which just double proves my point that hopping up the smithing tree for Dragon armor is a trap because you can't make Dragon weapons.

Also I abused Smithing HARD FUCKING CORE and still casually sauntered my way through levels 25-50, what now?

Creatures I can't damage... maybe smith your bow harder, kid.

Also mages, ahahaha. *Backstab x30, throat slit animation*

I'm a Breton with Alteration boosted magic resistance, so... No. Mages are not a problem for me.
Also through a combination of enchantments, smithing, and drugs I deal close to 1/2 of a boss-tier foe's HP in a blow.
More if I crit.

The game was frustratingly hard before I stopped hoarding my perks like a retard though.

Apparently, after finishing Skyrim, Bethesda did a bit of fucking around to see what they could all do in a week. it's pretty rad.
