Does it still count as being an Internet Tough Guy if you appear to fit the descriotion of Actual Tough Guy?

Okay so look, I know this is a 4chan meme and shit, and you'll all hate me for it. But for fucks sake, how can I not:

OH MAN I'M GOING THROUGH THE LAST HOUR

THIS IS AMAZING
-Racism
-Anger
-Name calling
-Physical Threats

Is there something stronger than Schadenfreude?

OH SHIT DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE! HE changed it again. From OceanStratagy to OceanStretagy.

I'm actually kind of worried he's gonna pull a Chris Benoit now. I wouldn't say the Internet would have his kid's blood on its hands, but there might be a bit of splatter.

I'm more concerned of outward violence rather than inward. I also wonder what Pete Hines will think now that this guy name dropped him.

I also can't stop watching this trainwreck. Holy shit.

Well, yes, outward violence would be the most logical (as far as violence goes), but clearly logic ain't this guy's strong suit.

I think the most interesting thing to come out of this is Mike's rhetoric when it comes to bullies:

I have a real problem with bullies. I spent my childhood moving from school to school and I got made fun of everyplace I landed. I feel like Paul is a bully and maybe that’s why I have no sympathy here. Someday every bully meets and even bigger bully and maybe that’s me in this case.  It’s the same thing that happened with Jack Thompson. It might not always make the most business sense and it is a policy that has caused us some legal problems, but I really don’t give a shit about that. When these assholes threaten me or Penny Arcade I just laugh. I will personally burn everything I’ve made to the fucking ground if I think I can catch them in the flames.

For additional info: He name dropped Pete Hines.

Pete Hines' official title:
"VP of PR and Marketing at Bethesda."

::(:: Why did you namedrop me, Paul. I don't want to be on your sinking ship.
:rage: BECAUSE I NEED SUPPORTERS BRAH
 ::(:: Fuck you

Yeah, seems pretty hardcore trolling on that one.  But, y'know, Poe's Law.

Besides, everyone knows Gabe's not a Jew.  He's a chuwero.

I'm pretty sure OceanStratagy is Paul Christoforo's actual Twitter account.  All other misspellings (and the correct spelling) are fake accounts.  It doesn't help any that the company's website, the website of a social media company, links to a previous misspelled Twitter account that another guy picked up.  Don't go confusing Twitter accounts here, because at one point one of the fakes threatens to send haters' credit card information to Nigerians, which would be a pretty serious crime.

Yeah, the one that flew into a rage is a troll in retrospect. But it was fun believing at the time.

The actual Paul on his actual account (that linked that video, hilarious) is taking as smart a road as he can as far as PR goes, which I guess makes more sense. (Shut up and hope it goes away)

I wonder when he realizes that changing the name is only going to be a slight annoyance for those that would troll him and actually hurt his finding customers.

When these assholes threaten me or Penny Arcade I just laugh. I will personally burn everything I’ve made to the fucking ground if I think I can catch them in the flames.

As non-apologies go, there's a certain honesty to Paul's that I have to admire in some twisted sense: he straight-up SAYS he's only sorry he got caught.  It's "Sorry, I didn't realize you were really the guy who draws Penny Arcade and could make my life miserable", not "Sorry I responded to a customer complaint with a torrent of adolescent insults."

Now, I've expressed my general dislike of Internet mob justice in the past.  But every time I start to feel bad for the guy I find some new reason not to.  He's been called on this bullshit before and hasn't stopped doing it; he's not sorry for being a prick, just for being a prick to someone who could do something about it.

If it IS disrupting his wife and baby's lives, then yeah, I feel bad for them.  I am aware that absolutely any damn fool thing I say on the Internet could have repercussions for my family -- this is a subject you have to think about when somebody starts looking for your address on Google because you said Wal-Mart should maybe not let people kill each other on its doorstep.

But it's Paul's responsibility to shield his family.  Unplug the land line, turn off the cell, put a sign on the door saying you didn't order any pizza, and, yes, hunker down until the Internet finds a new chew toy.

And quit being a prick.

I suspect the credentials listed on the right side of that page - microsoft certification, adwords certification etc - are probably not legitimate.
