Saw this mother on Kayma's Tumblr:

It reminded me how badly I wished that at least one of the votes could have been a 3/2 split.

I said it before and I'll say it again:

The Jedi Council said no. Qui-gon went ahead anyway. Look what happened.
Councils don't like special people because they often bring destruction.

One that lead to galactic wide war and the destruction of their people by the newly formed oppressive regime.
That's a pretty big ONE.

Oh hey look Lottel is trying to use the Star Wars prequels as evidence of something.

Episode 10! That sets things up nicely for the finale.

The main problem I have with the love triangle thing is that it means Bolin is getting less screen time. He pretty much got all of one line this episode, and as the new Sokka, that is just Not Acceptable.

Tenzin
showed what a master airbender is capable of. Of course, the equalists wouldn't have much practical experience with airbenders, so it stands to reason that he and his family did so well. Recall also the fate of Gyatso. Jinora's the same age Toph was in the original series; it's not like there's no precedent for kids being competent fighters, at least with the element of surprise.
I was expecting Lin to
end up in the ocean, what with her metal armor. Was honestly relieved when the second airship turned around.

For Iroh to be the general over the entire United Forces at his age means he's bound to be a real badass; nepotism alone can only raise you so far, even for a nephew (son?) of the Fire Lord. We might witness a firebender who's as far above Mako as Lin was above Bolin. I find it interesting that the message was claimed to come from Korra, when Tenzin was the one who sent it.
Will Amon replace Satoshi Shinobi as the voiceover narrator next week, as he did earlier? That was an excellent way of indicating the stakes had been raised.
Tenzen sent the request for the United Forces, Korra must have sent a message saying that the equalists have taken control.

Maybe Tenzin just sent it in the name of the avatar, or the messenger fucked it up. I don't think it matters either way.

Yeah, I took it as Tenzin sent it speaking for the Avatar. The Council is important, of course, but when the Avatar gets involved in shit, they know how high the stakes are.
Two questions:
1.
Was there supposed to be any significance to the babies name?
2.
Can we PLEASE stop with all the damn FARTING?
It apparently has some special meaning to the creators, but they're being purposefully cagey about it. I kinda don't think it will be a big deal.
It's a Sanskrit word that means "healing". Who knows what this could mean?
