Poor old Emmett, his compass and map will come in useful, at least.

I don't know which is worse.

That this is a game where I regularly forget I'm currently waiting to get into a server, or that last time I fell asleep while waiting and was awoken by the zombie right next to where I spawned in... four hours later.

Hey, don't blame the zombie. He was just getting home and then he finds a hobo just sleeping there.

If you think you have long days at the office, man, that's nothing compared to the hours a zombie's gotta put in.

I found a car in a construction site on the US2 server. Its hull is fully repaired, and it has two wheels on it. I logged off with one wheel on me, so all the car should need is a fuel can. I think the gas tanks outside of the building are the kind you can refuel cans with.

Unfortunately, unidentified babbies stole the car.

In case you guys haven't been following this, the guy making the game has gone mad with power and has been slowly destroying the game. The next patch is probably going to be the death of it, with new players spawning in with only a flashlight, a bandage, and painkillers. No guns, no food or water. It already takes some time to find any of this crap, but starting out without this stuff will probably make it impossible to live longer than 20 minutes.

Oh and by the way the zombies also see a lot better have fun.

Wasn't there some thing where there was some hacker or not hacker, and then network wide griefing, and then everything got shut down?

Man, no guns? I guess it's to stop people spawning and doing suicide runs into the city and hoping they get lucky. But it'll also mean you'll have gangs of people patrolling the shore with a LOT of lights, bandages and painkillers.

Well it escalated from people hacking in guns and vehicles that weren't supposed to be in the game, to people messing up the forums because all of the admins had the same password, to people just server hopping to trigger a kill-everyone hack. While all of this was happening the guy making this was working on implementing transmissible colds and taking out the server wide chat.

Edit: And surprise! The patch is out, and it is buggy as fuck. Zombies are able to see through walls, and they are spawning faster than you can kill them. He also changed it so the zombies can actually hit you while you are running, so there is no escape. Until he releases a hotfix or new patch if you get spotted by a zombie you are probably dead, and that is if you have a gun.

I don't get why the hell he's changing the zombies, they were deadly enough! It worked, if you sneaked, you could get past them, if you fire a gun, they chase you! It was a good mechanic.

I'm going to assume self sabotage. I was actually considering buying Arma II to play this! Crisis averted!

Arma 2 is still awesome and worth buying. There's a button to sit down, it's like ragnarok online all over again.

And you don't even need to level up to do it!

Shinra: The guy is more concerned with making an accurate zombie apocalypse simulation/art to care how shitty all of his decisions are. His arguement for taking guns away at the start is "WELL NOT EVERYONE IS GOING TO OWN GUNS AND BE PREPARED FOR ZOMBIES!" And you know, ignore the fact that everyone apparently knows how to repair and pilot helicopters, install barbed wire and tank traps, and zero in sniper scopes.

He also is too busy calling people carebears and trolling them to care how dumb he is acting.

My money is on someone else will move in and do it properly on Arma 3. He's sacrificing fun for realism. There was a fine balance to start, but this? Well.
