Robin Snyder has set up a kickstarter to put The Ditko Public Service Package #2 (a satire of the comics industry as it stood in 1991) back into print.

It's already well on its way and looks like it'll well exceed the goal.  But I think it could set a great damn precedent.  Most people don't know that Ditko's still working steadily, and it's a bit of a hassle to get your hands on his new work.  I'm hoping Snyder starts to see Kickstarter as a long-term solution to those problems.

Bissette just put up a fantastic Gorgo/Ditko post, so I figure I should go ahead and remind people of this thing one more time.  It's reached its goals, but I'm just looking at some of the incentives -- I've been meaning to grab some of Ditko's work in The Comics! for years anyway, and this looks like a great way to do that.  $20 (plus $5 shipping) will get you the Public Service Package plus a selection of The Comics back issues; another $10 will get you an issue of The 32 Series.  And, lest we forget, your money will actually be going to Ditko himself, unlike when you buy a Spider-Man comic.

I'm sorely tempted; I just found out I've got to replace my damn radiator, but it looks like this Kickstarter closes right around the time I'll be getting my first paycheck and I think I can swing it.

Done and fucking done; indeed, after a careful reread of the incentives I went ahead and threw in for the highest one.  Because that's a lot of Ditko for a pretty reasonable price.

I've been meaning to throw Snyder and Ditko some money for literally years and it feels good to finally get around to doing it.  Nice to be able to do shit like this; I sure missed having a job.

Travelwide 4x5 film camera

Holy shit this thing has me salivating. A 4x5 travel camera is still kind of goofy (I went on vacation and got 5 shots!), but this is still a pretty cool idea.

So the Ouya is finally making its way out to backers. Here's a review.

Bottom line: it has some pretty serious problems. Hopefully they get it all sorted out. If not...well, it was a nice idea.

Also, the OMFG! guys(little rubber toys inspired by M.U.S.C.L.E. and Monster in my Pocket) have a Kickstarter for series 3. It has a barbarian astronaut. I could go on, but if "barbarian astronaut" didn't convince you, I don't know what will.

Latest pebble watch update gives the option for color backers to switch to black watches due to further delays in color production.

They did say in two months they'll be done with the red ones. Followed by orange. Then gray. Then white.

Should have my white watch by... October? November? Given no further delays.

Oh and they don't have refunds set up so they may take a few months to go through if anyone here regrets their purchase/donation.

Remember a few pages back, we talked about Susan Wilson and how it ended up she was basically trying to capitalize on gender politics to scam people using her kids?

p4rgaming, a parody games journalism website, posted a Onion-esque 'interview' with the daughter.

Standard parody stuff, except Susan Wilson found the article, and posts several walls of text in the comments that could be generously described as "flipping her lid."

Man, if Liefield knew that other people did his characters and concepts better than he could, he wouldn't have had that "Gladiators aren't gay!" thing a few years back.

Well, I mean, and Wade Wilson, Deadpool is so obviously a knockoff of Slade Wilson, Deathstroke that he'd BETTER be a parody, because if he weren't, he'd be infringing.
