Some things went well, some not so well.  Next game we will run with stricter init order.

We're also going to move things back two hours.  Next session is Friday, June 27th, at 8 PM EDT (5 PM PDT)

The group received:

Poison Cannon
Standard Action (Encounter)
Attack: Dexterity vs AC
Hit: 2d6 + Int modifier damage, and 5 ongoing poison damage (save ends).

There was a big mismash of serious and completely non-serious text around the part where Burrito came in.  What is he?  Is he really a bugman?

For all rules purposes, Burrito is a Dragonborn Paladin of Bahamut.  I allowed him to flavor himself into a Beetleborn instead.

Yeoz is awesome, and he has an awesome character sheet.  You should all use yeoz's sheet and notation.  Having everything completely written out this way is extremely helpful.

I'm probably going to outlaw Kemru's sheet after the next session, when you all get to Level 3.  The formatting completely sucks.  You can't use columns in a text file.  You just can't.

Here's a blank version of the character sheet.

As you rest amid the shattered altar and the dead priests, one of you stumbles upon the following peculiar device.

Air Blaster
A large cylinder with an elastic canvas at the back.  Manipulating the canvas causes a ball of air to explode forth.
At-Will * Force
Standard Action
Ranged 10
Target: One creature
Attack: +6 vs Fortitude
Hit: The target is pushed 1d4 squares.

This looks like a weapon for a non-combat person!... Uh, do we even have one of those?

(It took me a little while to realize how hard I want this week's monsters to be.  So...)

As you explore the insides of the temple, you come across a loose flagstone.  Moving it aside, you find an orange bag with a strange black face.

Opening the bag, you find six pieces of Rare Candy!

You are all Level 3!

Increase your maximum HP and pick a Level 3 Encounter Power.

You all might as well be rested, too, so start the next session with all your HP and Powers renewed, and one AP.

All right, kids.

You are all Level 4.  Even Frederico, who clearly does not deserve it.  He will be summarily tortured for his ill-gotten gains.

Pick 1 new feat, add +1 to two of your stat scores, and add +1 to your level modifier for attacks, defenses, skill/ability checks, and initiative.

Loot and plot details forthcoming.

Also:

My favorite part of the night was when you guys were fighting the spiders on the path over the chasm and Max went "Okay, now it's my turn to go" and I went "NOPE" and crossbow bolts flew out of the wall and hit everybody and you were all like "WHAT THE FUCK"

What can I say?  +2d8 damage on almost every attack gives you a lot of threat

Once Jari confirms that the dragon's den is safe, he summons a veritable clan of dwarves to investigate the entire dungeon section.

Jari sends you back to the settlement, which has grown tremendously in the days since you left.  A few short passages have been disarmed and cleared of monsters, and some industrious prisoners have begun to carve rooms for themselves out of the stone walls.  It looks like people are tired of sleeping on the cold floor with a thousand other smelly bastards.

You rest for the day, mingling with the other prisoners.  Many of them seem to think you're badass for, you know, slaughtering a few dozen kobolds and killing an undead fucking dragon.  One or two of you get laid.

When Jari returns, he seems to think you've stumbled onto something amazing.  He spends the rest of the day haggling with prisoners and making arrangements with wizards and craftsmen, then after dumping literal armloads of magical equipment on you, he points out another nearby passage for you to explore.  He seems to think it will answer his questions.

If you want to know more about the mystery, don't bitch out during the plot segments at the ends of sessions!

I'm hot for that plate. I'm also interested in the holy symbol, but I'm assuming that's better than what the cleric has, and I don't have much in the way of implement powers; however, I'll take his old holy symbol if it's magic.
