I'm not sure how I feel about the Weretiger's SCry & Kill power, honestly.
I'd support giving the weretiger a kill but not a scry. I'd also support removing the PI, or at least finding some way to tone it down.

In hindsight, counseling Frocto to try turning bongo bill was crazy-pants, but without any other confirmed innocents on the board, taking a shot at an unknown target seemed even more crazy-pants.

I don't know that I (seriously) mis-played, but... to clarify:
Friday (possibly lying) told me that I could still win after all of the vampires were dead if I managed to make the final night of the game meet the following stringent conditions:
  • Be only me and an innocent player.
  • With me having the guaranteed ability to execute a night-kill

I think to that end, I grossly over-estimated the size of the innocent bloc and the wolves' appraisal of my scrying ability as a legitimate threat.

Why did I get locked down anyway?

Regarding seer-types, I think weretiger should have a kill but not scry, and that Death needs to be changed from "Devil 2.0" (for asymmetry reasons).  PI is a neat mechanic and I think it should probably stay.

How about Death is the third starting vampire, and can detect the team of any player who uses a night action (successful or not) against one of the three starting vamps?  Death could be used for the vamps' nightkill purposes, but would not be able to counterscry that night.  Death also could not inherit the title of Drac 2.0.

I also think this could simplify the vamp/wolf nightkill interaction, which has become somewhat cumbersome in an attempt to balance out the interactions.  It could also be an excuse to add the Really Hairy Guy (scries as a wolf to oracle-types, which would include Oracle, Death, and Air Bud in his new proposed role) as an innocent role.

Huh? Why would I lie?

The rule change was issued because I realized after the fact that a Death or a Devil who lacks a team (but the opposing bad team is still in the game) is literally pointless without some possible win condition. I changed the rule to ensure you didn't become pointless. I couldn't announce it in public because it would just give away that there were no vamps left.

Well, Guild was in the game so I was extra paranoid for some left-handed shenanigans.

Was it in the core rules?
I mean, I appreciated the change, but at the same time, I felt like my strategy was only (possibly) viable because no one knew I was able to win that way. I feel like if I had managed to skin-of-my-teeth a vamp victory, there'd be as many players impressed with my sinister plotting as there were annoyed that the carpet got tugged out from under them by a rules change or rules interaction that they had no way of anticipating?

I feel like the Greater Werewolf being immune to anything but lynch takes most of the strategy out of the wolves' selection of their nightly kill.

Agreed. G. Wolf makes the kill 100% of the time or you're dumb.

Then in that case make the Gwolf count as a wolf, but is unable to do nightkills as long as there is another non-Gwolf alive.
