Well, it's McCain.  I'm sure he'll apologize the moment he finds out that a stupid joke he made accidentally offended a bunch of people about a very sensitive topic.  Right?

Ah, well, probably not then.  Go get a life, Lyrai.

Uh, actually guys I'm no McCain fan, but I at least know he is not in fact making a wife-beating joke of any kind. He's calling out the interviewer by referring to the classic trap question "And when did you stop beating your wife?"

Seriously.

Have you guys honestly not heard that expression before?

There's plenty of sexism to call McCain on.  Making a reference to "When did you stop beating your wife?" is not sexist, any more than "pot calls kettle black" is racist.

Hey guys? Hope you've got some blood pressure pills.

Hooo, boy. Where the fuck is our ruthless media to jump on mccain for being a flipflopper? The republicans sunk Kerry with bullshit far less valid than this.

hi, have you been around for the last 8 years? the media is exclusively a tool of the enemy, i don't know why anyone even reads the news anymore.

I don't!

I seriously haven't listened to anyone but Thad for a long time.

And DS/CR but I never actually manage to watch those.

It's not the fact that he's lying about voting on a bill he opposed that pisses me off.

It's that his opinion on the matter was pretty highly publicized, and that this happened recently. This isn't something popping up from 92', where he was for it before he was against it or some spin shit like that. This is something that happened, what, last month?

I mean, sure, it would take Obama getting caught with a muslim hooker (slapping her on the ass with a christian bible while a gay jew took him from behind) at this point to really hurt his standing in this election overall, but that does not make McCain's bullshit any less infuriating.

I don't think Obama would approve of that message.

Professionally, anyway.  Personally I'm sure he'd be all  :approve:

McCain doesn't know the price of gas.

This is probably more of that "trivia" that it's not important for a President to be aware of.

ODub:

McCain's pro-free trade ad talks about creating more jobs in Mexico.  Whether that's a good idea or not, it seems like a stupid damn thing to say out loud given his constituency.

Also via ODub: some dumbass in OC pops his monocle over the fact that Tiger Woods only got to keep $764,000 of his US Open prize after taxes.

Maybe it is satire.

genetically modified food is the reason we have bananas at 60 cents a pound and Hoss Avocados (which are awesome, and if you don't like Avodcados fuck you) so it's pretty cool by my book

I'd fucking hope it's satire. Calling Tiger Woods self employed is pretty fucking funny.

Not likely.  It seems pretty in-line with how my father thinks.

Mccain calls Obama a flip-flopper

You know, as stupid as the american people are on average, I find it a little hard to believe that they'd fall for this shit twice. Especially coming from a man who isn't as adorably stupid as George.
