Nice message, but did anyone else have the bad feeling it was going to end with a YEAAAAAAAAAAAAH at the end when he started shouting into the microphone?

Saying "every citizen loves America" is mostly rhetoric, but "the pro-american parts (of america)" is still a mind-blowingly awful phrase.

Also, good to see someone being passionate for once in a damn election.

I'm with Friday, whether she's being clever or not; i AM the America-hating left. Reading right-wing blogs has made me into their leftist scarecrow, the figure who wants to legally abolish religion and jail those who vote the wrong way and bleed the rich for everything they have.

And i still agree with Biden.

You don't hate America, you just hate the idiots trying to run it into the ground.

Did you miss the part where i effectively want to eliminate capitalism and put an end to the democratic process entirely?

I agree with Biden's calling her on that phrase. Palin is a fear monger who wants to paint the picture that we are divided.

The problem is, I think there is a large and growing number of people who are making that picture a reality. Hopefully Obama can reverse that. I have, for the first time in a long time, actual hope for him as a political figure to do some good.

And yes, I was being 50% clever and 50% serious. I hate the people running it into the ground. I hate government in general, too. I'm sure you guys can think back to the last time I talked about politics and remember what I said then. There's no need to go over it again.

Obama raises $150 million in September. Students & Retirees form the biggest segment of donations.

Colin Powell endorses Obama. Cites McCain's reaction to the economic crisis, the Sarah Palin pick, Bill Ayers, and later Horseface Bachmann.

Oliver Stone's W. all but bestowed sainthood upon Powell over the weekend. Watching Jeffrey Wrights' Powell say "Fuck you." to Richard Dreyfuss' Cheney was a highlight.

Horseface Bachmann.

Awww, he already drew the obvious parallel to McCarthy.  Still it makes my "witch hunt" metaphor all the more poignant.  As if Sarah Palin being afraid of actual witches didn't do it.

Note, before her appearance, her opponent had only garnered $4000 on ActBlue. Things Change.

Not that he was struggling beforehand, down only 4% in the polls and with $350,000 cash on hand. Not bad for a challenger with the queerest of names, and the most ancient of webpages.

DailyKos actively calling for donations in that article probably helped.

That page alone has garnered $107,000. The candidate himself thanked them yesterday, claiming that nearly $500,000 had come in over 24 hours.
