They still don't want to make a point of it. Niggling about the small stuff is something you do when you're down, if then.

Political jujitsu has been employed heavily in the past two months, as "spread the wealth around" and "the fundamentals of our economy are strong" have made their rounds. They worked because they were tied into broader themes, such as the opponent being a socialist or out of touch.

In this case, the busing can be tied into multiple instances of condemnation while being just as guilty. Romo's post on the college professor falls into the same narrative, a narrative that was open and available (see also: multiple instances of outright lying) but rarely used.

Naturally, it's not to be a cornerstone of the campaign. This was McCain's mistake. However, if balanced with the message, then it's a perfectly effective tool.

Maybe, but yelling hypocrite is always dangerous.

Worldwide Candidate Numbers

South Korea senses change on the horizon, and Kenya is (unsurprisingly due to heritage) in the tank.

...Incidentally, LD, I can't speak for NH, but the lines here in Arizona, for EARLY voting, in MCCAIN'S HOME STATE, were four hours long.

Research 2000 AZ:

Quote
McCain (R) 48
Obama (D) 47

Early voters:

McCain (R) 42
Obama (D) 54

If the 2010 election for U.S. Senate were held today for whom would you vote for...?

McCain (R) 45
Napolitano (D) 53

The Obama Campaign this morning announced they would begin running ads in Arizona, North Dakota, and Georgia. Recent polling within Louisiana mirror the point spread in Arizona & Georgia.

Well, it's the moment I have been waiting for.

The Economist has finally thrown it's hat in the ring and with a thoughtful explanation, endorsed its choice for your upcoming elections

So why are Laos, Cambodia, and the Philippines all pro-McCain?

Well, first you have to consider what those three have in common.

...

Um... okay, think of the second thing those three have in common.

I'm surprised they haven't produced an illegitimate child yet.

I mean that, literally, as in, took a hair sample and made a clone baby out of him.

I think this campaign will go down in history as the one with the most, least successful controversies. Every time one of these comes up the already converted says "See! We can't trust that guy!" and the entire rest of the country says "WHO GIVES A FLYING FUCK I CAN'T BUY FOOD"

Russell Bishop @ HuffPost has some good Lincoln quotes.

My favorite, and one I'd never heard before:

Quote
How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg? Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg.

(I figure this thread takes priority if it's an Election/WTF article)

Mercenary Firm Offers to 'Detain Troublemakers' on Election Day

Apparently it might've just been an offer to help guard ballot-counting locations or something.  Still.
