Ha ha ha ha ending is win.
I'm really on the fence about this game. On the one hand I want to hate it a lot for copping the retro thing* - that aesthetic is the sole domain of independent developers, and there's a damn good reason for it (mainly because sprite art is all most programmers can do). But, well, I've got this really good feeling right now, something I haven't felt in a long time... that rare "Oh, that was a really good game, I had fun!" feeling.
So, I guess I can't lie.
That was a really good game. I had fun!
(Sorry if it comes off like I'm teasing you guys who haven't gotten around to buying it yet, but at least you know now it'll be worth it, hey.)
* They really are very into making it look like a primitive NES game. Right down to reintroducing those ugly running scanlines if you're on a CRT. So, no, don't expect very much more animation.
