I'd love to see Tango come back for 9.

Ideally they would make him actually useful.

Quote from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Mega_Man_characters#Tango
Tango is a robotic cat and one of Mega Man's most useful allies. Tango can change itself into a buzzsaw and dive into enemies. Tango only appears in Mega Man V for the Game Boy and Rockman & Forte: Challenger From the Future for the Wonderswan.

Ideally they would make him actually useful.

Well, it's coming to all Systems now.  I'm guessing the 360 version will do better sales wise than the others.  And I'll probably get it for the achievements.

...And should I be the one to start an "I want to see Legends 3" conversation?

: You and me both, pal.

(For those who don't know, Inafune designed the engine used for Dead Rising and Lost Planet with the possibility of using it for Legends 3 in mind, which might explain the Megaman costume and other references in DR.)

Really? This article (the very last part) says that the news regarding 360 and PS3 was false, and that it's WiiWare only.

Hands-on impressions make it sound like one of those "challenge" ROM hacks of a Megaman game.  Will have to wait and see.

Also people are still bugging out about the Robot Master with tits.   ::(:

No Mega Buster and no Slide right out of the gate makes it sound like Powered Up actually, where those two abilities will be unlocked later.  Possibly after beating the game for the first time, possibly bought in the in-game store.

Mega Man should them from these little Holographic Dr. Light capsules hidden all over the place and then he should be all like, "The hell, Doc?  You're not dead!" and Light's all like "WINK WINK I SURE AM NOT WINK WINK."

 ::(: works.

:disapprove: is "I just snapped a motherfucker's neck in front of a bunch of TV cameras."

Anyway:

Don't know where you guys are getting your info, but ShackNews says:

Quote
In addition to several items appearing in previous NES Mega Man titles, Mega Man 9 will also include a shop where players can buy items such as new armor, spike shoes that protect against one-hit kills, and energy balancers.

So, it's like Mega Man 7.

To be fair, the highly superior Mega Man IV and V both did it first.

Yeah, IV even rewarded you if you died a lot.

But yeah, on reading the GamesRader exclusive, Brent's right -- the bit about having to acquire abilities as you go DOES sound a whole lot like Mega Man X.

Megaman V also rewarded you if you died like crazy and gave you the quick charge accessory thing.

MEGAMAN 9 TRAILER

(Alternate link, just in case.)

Upon rewatching it several times, I now notice that it only shows SEVEN of the eight announced Robot Masters: Hornet Man (probably, based on the stages and outlines) appears to "bee" missing. Huh.
