EDIT GRR PAGEBREAK

From what I recall, Rock's buster is an Mark 7 since the last game he was in, so that's a good ten steps before they get to reploid killin' power.

...Mega Man 7 was AFTER Mega Man X.

And anyway, 2, 3, and 6 CLEARLY don't have new Busters in them.  And if 7 does, it's a step backward, as it does 2/3 of the damage the ones in 4-6 do.

...are these two posts connected or did I just waste the past ten minutes trying to figure out who was taking about what?  Because MM7 coming out after X and Mega Man having an earlier version of the standard-issue pea shooter that X uses doesn't seem to be mutually exclusive.

Yes, I was replying to him.

I meant that Mega Man X probably wasn't written with 7 in mind as 7 hadn't been made yet (in fact, 6 was released mere months before X in Japan).

...Anyway, if I were to break kayfabe for a moment, the point is that trying to make sense of the Mega Man chronology is silly because they are clearly just making shit up as they go along.

If nothing else it acts as an energy indicator because it flashes when X's life metre gets low.

Numerous years of litigation have reduced Dr. Light's resources to working in Professor Theo's garage.

It's nothing new:

Here it looks to be tucked away in the same sleepy little valley Mega Man went home to in the end of MM2.

The Megaman 9 OST is out! Well, most of it, as of this post. I'm still anxious to hear the Wily Castle themes.

Just letting people know that they put up the entire soundtrack now, in High Quality.

It's nothing new

Even then I thought it to be larger off-screen.

It... It must just be the entrance to the underground lab! That's the ticket!

A) http://kotaku.com/5052089/yup-youll-be-able-to-buy-a-mega-man-9-box

Exceedingly rare, though

B) RELEASE DATES
9/22: WiiWare
9/25: Playstation Network
10/1: Xbox Live Marketplace

C) Thad needs to change his name to Dr Wily. Or at least his title.

It's out on Monday!

For Wii!

Then a few days later for PS3... and not until October 1 for 360. I've got my Classic controller all primed and ready for Monday. (Does anyone know what time the VC/Wiiware games are actually released? Because I may wake up early so I can play it before my 9am class.)

Oh, and apparently Wiiware updates at 9am PST. So I guess it'll be waiting for me after class, but I'll only have about an hour to play it before my next class.  Mega Man, you tease!  :kowhyee:

5 was fake Protoman, 6 was Mr. X, Dr. Wily's worst disguise ever.

4) Dr. Wily is secretly behind it again.
5) Dr. Wily is secretly behind it again.
6) Dr. Wily is secretly behind it again.
7) Dr. Wily is behind it, but is pretending like he did it on accident.  Also, Bass.
8) Dark Energy from Space makes evil Dr. Wily... more evil.  There's a giant invincible robot from space who... kinda really hates Dark Energy.  None of this is important.  Also, Bass.
& Bass) Dr. Wily is starting to build Zero.  Also, Bass (thinks it's totally gay).
