Oh so you're trying to get zara to fix the editor. I see. I thought you meant you couldn't figure out how to make a vertical paddle. (See: Stupidball)

Needs a continue/retry button; having to scroll all the way back through the list to a game I was playing is annoying.

Lives seem pretty pointless in some of the games.  Are coins and other collect-this-to-win items respawned across lives, forcing you to gather them again, effectively discarding your progress?  Is your score being reset to 0 when you lose a life?  Then what exactly is the point of lives?  A get-out-of-having-to-navigate-the-UI-again free card?

I'm trying to decide what's the best approach to losing a life.
Current contenders are:

1 - Reset everything
2 - keep prizes gone
3 - Keep defeated enemies gone
4 - Keep both prizes and defeated enemies gone
4.5 - same with obstacles
5 - just reset the players to their starting positions and keep everything running
6 - Leave it to the level maker to decide

Wario Ware-style advancing to next game upon level loss will be implemented with Game Collections, which I am also working on.

Uh, option 6 seems best (if the most programming intensive) because a lot of those other options would break my games and make them a lot easier.

This thing is so much fun to play with it's probably best that you don't make bigger stages, because I'd start making F Project the game: the movie: the game

New version is up. As per popular demand, now you can make Collections of levels and play through them.

In addition, Game Start will put you through the tutorial. You can link directly to individual games (by their IDs) and collections (by adding a underscore in front of the ID) in this fashion.

Also, I think I'll have to remove Kunoko's single-wall jump. It detracts too much from her puzzle potential, makes her too overpowered relative to Bimmy, and generally makes things less fun in the long run. (Yes I know it's awesome to climb walls)

Any chance of retaining an overpowered wall-jumper (other char/new char) or making the jumping capabilities (and possibly other things) adopt the same model as weapons?

If the latter, perhaps also introducing some kind of walk-a-character-into-this-to-learn-new-shit power unlocker object (similar to the stuff the Chozo statues would hold in Metroid)?

Might be bad ideas.  Just curious, though.

Anyone else experiencing an occasional crash in the menus?  During which the tabs are switching at epileptic speed?

if you cant beat it, DONT SUBMIT IT.

Also, kunoko is unable to jump on top of a single block without wallkicking, if single wall wall climbs are removed, this could make her pretty shitty.

I make sure to beat all my games before I submit them.

Sometimes this takes quite a while. And technically, I never beat Shippu2. I got the timer down to 4 seconds, though, so.

You can always, you know, use ladders.

Current possibilities are:

- Make a new character that can fly
- Make Kunoko do her climb jump only off brick type walls
- Add a powerup that increases each character's power a bit

wtf no

While you have a point there, all of my points still stand.

Should be gone now. If it isn't, tell me which button you pressed in what screen to get to the epileptic one.

In addition, see how you like the new Kunoko. She can jump a block high with a running start, but can't climb jump.

k, let me reply point by point, then.

It detracts too much from her puzzle potential,

No it doesn't. Look at all the shit I did with her.

makes her too overpowered relative to Bimmy,

So what?

and generally makes things less fun in the long run.

Says you. (and you are the guy making this, so.)

Sure, kind of, I guess. But it's a fuckton simpler to time your way up a ladder with bats going back and forth than it is to climb a wall with spikes in it or whatever.

all the old NGirl games are broken now

So what? It's your game making game.

In addition, see how you like the new Kunoko.

K, you're asking, so I'll tell you: I don't.

Yes it is my work, but I don't want to destroy yours. I'm trying to think of a proper solution that is sound designwise.
